      Post xXironshadowXx's Workbook

Welcome to my workbook I've recently have restarted my lucid dreaming from the start due to being inactive for a year and a half and never got down to the nitty gritty o lucid dreaming and a change of schedule.

      Reality Checks
      - Plug nose
      - Finger through palm
      - Read word then look away then read again

      Dream Signs
      - Seeing birth father
      - Sex

      Induction Methods
      - DILD and MILD

      Recalled Dream Count
      -3-

      Lucid Dream Count
      -0-

      Notes:
I started over completely so my counts are down to zero.

I as of right now only keep a pencil and paper DJ.

I am not actively trying to have lucid dreams at the moment I'm focusing on dream recall.

Hey, everyone I just woke up and I wrote in my DJ(pen and paper) and from what I recall I had a false awakening and wrote down my dream I had before that in the false awakening but I don't remember the false awakening much. So my question is do you think that may have been the way I worded my mantras?

Hey Shadow! (I would love to type out your full name but my iPod is not cooperating, so I hope Shadow will do) good to hear you are back and trying to lucid dream again. It makes me happy that you are not diving straight into lucid dreaming and that you're taking your time and starting with recall, I think it's the best approach for new comers.

To answer your question about recalling your dream but not your false awakening, may I ask what your mantra is? Secondly, I personally don't think it is to do with your mantra. Mantras are great and they can really help ones dream recall, but they only help so much. I wouldn't be to frustrated about not recalling your false awakening, it's your first week back to activley attempting to recall your dreams so you're probably just a bit rusty. If the bad recall continues post here and I'll check back and see what I can do to help.

Umm.. my mantra was "When I wake I will remember my dream and write it down." Oh and about my dream recall Ive been trying to recall my dreams for 3 days and Have two dreams and one false awakening recorded in my DJ.

As soon as you wake up write down the key points of the dream at the bottom of the page in your journal, like what you do when you're tagging a thread. Basically say you dreamt about a basketball game, write some words like "Miami Heat" "Raptors" "Heat Win" "With my girlfriend." Writing down these 'tags' should allow you to fall back asleep and then when you wake up in the morning you should be able to recall your dream based off the prompts you wrote down the night before.

If this doesn't work you can try setting an alarm six hours after the time you fall asleep (WBTB) and write down whatever you remember then. There are some vitamins that help with how vivid dreams are although I'm not sure on how well they do or do not work, so ill get back to you on that if you're keen to look down the vitamins/supplements alley. Let me know how any of this works out and feel free to ask any questions.

Yah thanks I've tried using my iPod as a WBTB alarm but it never seems to wake me but my alarm clock does wish it had two alarms with different times but I guess since I go to bed at nine and wake at six ill set it for 3am and then when I wake set it to 6am

      Good luck!

Good to hear you are having some success man! Keep up the good work and just be persistent. It's important that once you're in the schedule and mind frame that is allowing you to recall dreams on a consistent basis that you stay there and work with it. Good to hear WBTB Is working for you, as well as the mantra's. As I said keep at it and you'll get far, I'll check out your post in the morning.
