      Post Ajanime22's Workbook

Hey, dreamers. This is my first workbook.

      Reality Checks:
      -
      -
      -

      Dream Signs:
      - unknown places
      -
      -

      Short-Term Goals:
      -become lucid again
      -stabilize the dream
-find and talk to my dreamguide

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Make EVERY dream that I have a lucid dream
      - Practice waking life activities in my dreams
      - Revisit childhood memories
      - Find out what I want out of life

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - My first lucid dream was about a month ago. It was a false awakening in which I saw my deceased sister's dog down the hallway. I didn't do much in the dream after I became lucid. I just went to my sister's room and then walked down the hallway again. I've been remembering about 2-5 dreams per night for the past 2 or 3 months now.

      Current Technique:
      - DILD: I'm constantly being in the moment and every time I get distracted or zone out, I bring myself back to the present.

      Morning 1

      Current Technique
<<Pretty much the whole day, or at least most of it, I was acting as if I was invisible and noticing my effects on the objects and people around me. It's actually kinda fun for me to imagine a world where I'm invisible. It also opens my eyes to how much I really impact people and my environment.
<<I also tried to constantly be aware of my sense of sight and sound in the NOW.

      Stress Level (1-10)
      0. Before, my DILD techniques always involved me constantly speaking in my head (Either what I was doing at the moment and/or why I was doing it). But, now that my technique involves shutting up my mind's voice and just experiencing the world around me without any words, it feels so much more relaxing.

      Morning Results
      >>I woke up knowing that I had three dreams but only remembering 2. My last dream was actually amazingly vivid and once I woke up, I knew what it was. I didn't have to try to remember it because I went straight from dreaming to waking up. The only other time that this happened was when I had my first lucid dream. In the dream I woke up from this morning, I was playing a video game with my brother and weird stuff was going on in the game that didn't make sense.

Hey, dreamers. I've kind of fallen off... Ok. I have fallen off. But, I'm getting back on. Here's what I'm doing:

      Reality Checks:
      -occasionally looking at my hands
      -
      -

      Dream Signs:
      - unknown places
      - talking to family and other people
      - being around family and other people
      - playing video games (Smash Bros. 4 in particular)
      - watching TV
      - being in front of a screen
      - when the topic of lucid dreaming is being discussed
      - being surprised
      - being curious

      Short-Term Experiments:
      -become lucid again
      -stabilize the dream
      - See what it’s like to ENJOY the NEW Experience of passing through a wall in MY Dream World [] x #
      - See what it’s like to ENJOY the NEW Experience of falling backwards and not knowing what’s behind me in MY Dream World [] x #
      - See what it’s like to ENJOY the NEW Experience of conversing with a monster in MY Dream World [] x #

      Long-Term Experiments:
      - Make EVERY dream that I have a lucid dream
      - Practice waking life activities in my dreams
      - Revisit childhood memories
      - Find out what I want out of life
      - find and talk to my Dream Guide

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - I've had 5 Lucid Dreams so far. My recall right right now is 4-8 dreams/night.

      Current Technique:
      - DILD: Be NOW in my DW! Experience it as NEW, UNEXPECTED, and UNKNOWN! ENJOY it! (Through the 3 main senses)
Simple Lucid Dreaming Experiments to get my lucidity level up.

$$$"Being is the moment is blissful and an amazing experience,"
###"...every moment is unique and so every moment that we are not living in the present (in any sense) is a forever lost opportunity (in that sense)." ###

In order to make my dreams vivid, my WL must be as vivid as well (by being now through my 3 main senses) experiencing it as NEW, and ENJOYING it.

-These things are always turned on: (LD) Experiments, Senses, Enjoyment, NEW/Unknown. "ESEN"

I always am in 2-3 senses at the same time. It's easier for me to not become mindless because if I slip up one sense, me being mindful of another sense(s) will alert me that I'm missing another sense.

This visual will never come again.
This audio will never come again.
This feeling well never come again.
This taste will never come again.
This smell will never come again.

      Enjoy it while it's here.

Welcome back, Ajanime! Great idea to re-write the main post so that you can set your goals anew. I love what you have written about the senses at the end. Did you come up with these mantras or are they from some philosophical teaching?

Thanks, NyxCC. I came up with those mantras after a few days or weeks of just observing the ever-changing, ever-departing, and ever-arriving NOW. No philosophy. No books. Just experience. Every day or two, I discover something new about the NOW.

Btw, how exactly do I go about writing in this Workbook. I'm not sure what I should be doing. Do I treat this as a journal. Is there any template to show me everything that I need to be writing down. I'm kind of lost as to what I'm supposed to do.

I'd say that the only template is for the intro post, which you already have. In the rest of your posts you can include anything you feel is relevant to your dream practices. I.e. updates on how you are going about this during the day and also the practices and results during the night. Be creative and add anything that inspires you here - this can even include pics or songs, just like you did with the mantras above. Also, feel free to drop by others' workbooks for ideas and also you can also post in fellow member's workbooks if you like to share tips, ideas, congratulate and learn from each other.

Yesterday, I practiced DDA. I would basically plan to do an action and expect something weird or impossible to happen. I woke up this morning with only 3 dreams remembered. But, they were all vivid, as opposed to having 4-6 dreams recalled and having 3 or 4 of them being practically fragments. In the dreams, I even looked at someone and said something like,"Their body type is definitely way too weird. His head is so small and his torso is abnormally large." But, I didn't become lucid. I believe that the term that is used for what I had a lot of in this dream was "presence". However, what I seemed to be lacking was "awareness of lucid dreams". So, I am getting in the mindset that I can be in a dream rather than just being in the moment and taking it for what it is.

This morning, I was actually kind of on edge in a bit of anticipation.
-Every time I opened the fridge door, I didn't know what was going to be inside of it.
-Every time I turned the corner, I didn't know what was going to be there.
-Every time I pressed the screen on my phone, I didn't know what it was going to do.

It was kind of nerve-wrecking but kind of thrilling at the same time. Idk if that's bad or good. The edginess went away after I got in school, but, I was still kind of expecting weird/impossible things to happen.

Those practices sound really good for lucid dreaming. It is also exciting to expect the unexpected in general, makes life a bit more interesting. I see your work is starting to show up in dreams too - it's not a coincidence that you have been paying more attention to things in dreams as well as in real life.

My new current technique is the Descriptive Dream Journal Mindset. The link to it is here:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...-dreaming.html

Results: This morning, I remembered 4 vivd dreams and for 2 of them, I remembered really specific details.

Closing Remarks: I only started doing that technique for the last few hours of yesterday and saw such a drastic increase in vivdness and time. I can't wait to see how many lucid dreams I will have doing this technique.

Just read your thread Ajanime! I like your technique a lot and even think of giving it a try!

The story with the mirror and the comparisons to journalling are really good.

Day 1 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was great! I was really aware. I just get back on track if I fall off. I'm due for a lucid dream. So, that will be fun.

Day 2 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was pretty good. I was pretty aware and it felt kind of cool to know that I could wake up at any moment and write down what I'm observing in my dream journal. I realize that it's a lot more effective if I describe more properties about what I observe as opposed to just taking down one property of it. When drawing things, I would try to analyze what kind of thing or person I'm drawing. I'm Dream Journaling myself as well.

      Results:

Dreams: 3 or 5 vivd dreams (1 dream had 3 parts)
      Lucid Dreams: /

      Lucid##Day 3 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was pretty good.##I realize that my Dream Journaling Mindset must follow THE SAME FORMULA as my actual Dream Journal: who, where, why, what with details, Dream Scene changes, *repeat.
##I'm also realizing that "If I were to be pulled out of this dream right now and wake up, what would I write in my DJ?"
I'm also starting to understand that the people and objects around me could be dream figures created by my mind and how COOL that is. Overall, today was great. I know I'm lucid dreaming tonight.
      (Thanksgiving Day)

      Results:

      Dreams: 2
Lucid Dreams: 1 (vivid, controlled, and 56 minutes long)

Day 4 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was pretty good. I realize that I am better with visual details. I also keep in mind the subject of the current conversation. I know I am lucid dreaming now.

If you were to wake up right now, what would you write in your Dream Journal?

Day 5 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was pretty good. Everything is to be documented in my dream journal back in waking life: context, action, form, my ego. Even as I am dream journaling, I'm still dream journaling myself or my dream Journal back and waking life. I label the object first before describing it's properties. I seem to be able to Dream Journal properly when I don't take a task seriously. Maybe I should speak about the present in past tense. I am lucid dreaming tonight.

#I realize that it's not enough to acknowledge the fact that I can wake up right now. But, I also need to BE READY to write down my experience in my Dream Journal when I wake up. I need BOTH the knowledge AND the application towards that knowledge.

##If anything, the actual Dream Journaling for WL is more important than realising that you can wake up. It's called the,"Dream Journal Mindset" for a reason.

###$$You can wake up while doing and during ANY ACTIVITY Always Dream Journal because I can wake up OUT OF THE BLUE.

@@There is NEVER a reason to NOT be Dream Journaling. You could wake up at ANY MOMENT. And your Dream Journal should be so descriptive that the reader will feel like they are actually there. And there is NEVER ENOUGH details that could completely put the reader in the scene.

When a pre-dream scenario appears, I focus on the center of the dreamscape and then let the rest of the dream come into focus in my peripherals... Or ask a dream figure how to make your self fully immersed in the dream scape.

      $$Day 6 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was pretty good. I was extremely aware. I realized that I must always be documenting in my dream journal. I must even document myself as someone who I am looking at and not being. I need to actually believe that I will wake up in the next 10 seconds. I know for a fact that I am lucid dreaming tonight.

$$Never let an Awakening catch you off guard. Always be prepared for it by knowing what you would write in your Dream Journal if it comes.

**Day 7 - Dream Journaling Mindset

I am Dream Journaling NOW and will write it down when I wake up.

-Today was really good. I was crazy aware for pretty much the entire day. I realize it's easier to dream journal when you don't take things personally. It's a lot easier to converse lucidly when you know you can wake up in the middle of it just like anything else. I also kind of saw the words of my dream journal while observing things. I am definitely lucid dreaming.

      Results:

      Dreams: 9 (But, I remember having 11. I just didn't remember 2) (vivid)
Lucid Dreams: 0 (I became lucid. But, I lost it after talking to JJ.)
