Inception Sparked My Interest!

After watching Inception the other day I decided to research the idea of dream control/lucid dreaming and was very please to stumble upon this website. I read as much as I could yesterday and applied my teachings to my slumber last night. Surprisingly, just consciously trying to recall my dreams actually helped significantly! I haven't tried to do any lucid dreaming techniques yet as I am trying to get used to dream recall and finding dream signs first. I am very happy to see how large of a community there is here. Hopefully I get to know many of you on my journey!

Haha, apparently we found this place on common grounds. I've always been interested in dreams, and the psychology of dreams - I have only gotten seriously into dreams in the past year though. I started writing them down whenever I could remember the dream, as well as be in a convenient location to write on something. But I watched Inception last night and it really got me questioning reality... so here I am!

man I want to see that movie so bad! I talked to my mom about it and the way she talked about it I started to think people might start searching and finding places like this. anyways WELCOME ALL! I think the fact is that many people are intrigued with the intricacies of dreaming and just don't do anything about it. This movie opened up my eyes to the possibility of dreaming and led me here. I agree with you BlakeE45, many more will come like me. I just hope they are as serious about it as I am!

Inception is bringing a whole wave!

I too am an Inception-ite. I had always thought of practicing Lucid Dreaming but was always hesitant. Inception + a little research sealed the deal for me.

Good! I am glad that you have chosen to come here. With enough practice, and dedication you will achieve!

surprisingly, I haven't seen inception yet, but I lurked for a bit and decided I liked this place so here I am!

I've tried WILD and almost got to dreaming before I got scared and woke up. I later learned that the method i used wasn't entirely correct so I came here to investigate!

I too was inception inspired, but I had found out about LDing before and researched it, and I think I went to this site, but I was too lazy to try it out(LDing).

Inception was by far one of the best movies I have ever seen. Plus, the massive wave of newbies caused by Inception coming out has made the DV forum even more active.

So many folks here from Inception, the movie was only out since Friday lol.

I am also a newcomer! To be honest, inception was a mind blowing movie and it opened me up to actually looking into beoming aware of conciousness while dreaming. This is my first post because this thread seemed a good route to meet everyone else who has come here searching for the same support and information. I am going to make a post of my own introducing myself so hopefully i will see you all there. Also I feel relieved that im not the only one desiring this anymore.

Wow @ all the floods of new people, thank you inception for inspiring a new wave of LD interest, hopefully this movement of lucid dreaming will catch on globally.

it is very possible. hands down the best movie i have seen and i would never say that lightly. truly brilliant and mind opening. see it if you havent already
