Perhaps an encouraging sign???

So I've been up for about an hour now and had a very simple dream, nothing incredible or fantastic about it. Except for a little morphing and seeing various people I don't know that well in my house, but it's a dream so that can be expected lol. Anyway it didn't realy strike me until I finished writing it all down in my DJ, however this dream showd something I believe could be very important to attaining lucidity in the future....

So for about the last week I've been conciously eating better, and eating less (as a wrestler, weight is very important to watch). Yesterday in particular I was out all day and ate very little, and when I did eat it was healthy. In my dream last night I remember being in my house and for some reason there was ice cream on the floor lol....My brothers were having some, but I remember thinking "Gotta eat healthy..." so I skipped it. Then at a further point in the dream I remember seeing a bag of Cheetos somewhere. I decided against eating them because I am dieting.

So I didn't think anything of this until now. It appears my concious choices that I make in real life, carry over into my choices in my dreams. This sounds alot like the idea of reality checks, and doing them in real life in an effort to have them carry into dreaming. I was actuly pretty skeptical to that whole idea when I first read it here. But after this dream, idk.... However I've noticed it seems most people don't become lucid because of reality checks, but confirm thier lucidity by preforming a reality check. So I'm wondering if this might be a good sign, if maybe I could use this to my benefit in a way? Or maybe the dream was just a fluke, or maybe only my eating habits will carry over. Idk, just seemed interesting to me because I've only been conciously thinking about what I eat, and eating well, for probably a week or less. This isnt a very long time for it to carry into my dreams, I'd think.

So yeah, just felt compelled to post this. What do you think? I could just be crazy, or maybe my subconcious is concerned about looking slim in my dreams lol. Idk yet.

I think as you continue watching your diet do RCs every time you see something "unhealthy"...keep practicing and it'll eventually work...

It certainly seems true that habits and the like carry over into dreams. As for reality checks: I think that they just serve to encourage the questioning of one's environment, primarily. However, they are effective at determining whether or not one is dreaming. I had my first lucid dream last night. It involved performing a reality check. Facts: I've never had a lucid dream before and I had never done the reality checking stuff before a few days ago. I certainly see a connection there, so, in my opinion, it's not a question of whether reality checks work. Sure, you can go and try to find out for sure, but I'm pretty content knowing that they have presented results to me. :)
