Woke up...then continued the dream

So I experienced something pretty interesting last night. First I need to mention that I can control my dreams very few times.
Anyway, back on track. I was dreaming about something pretty normal that had nothing strange that could have made me think it was a dream. But then I lost my bag without knowing how and at the same time my phone (which I really like). That got me frustrated, so I started looking everywhere (in the dream), and then thought to myself: well, this could well be a dream, so if you wake up and still have your phone next to you then you can go back in the dream and not worry about that....so I did woke up, checked if I had my phone and then went right back into the dream which I still couldn't control.

Anyone has an idea of what that was?

Sounds DEILD-like

Dream re-entry is a pretty common experience if you have decent dream recall, and it's the basis of a lucid induction method: DEILD. I can't say I do it deliberately or methodically, but I've had quite a few lucids and some very cool non-lucids from dream re-entry.
