Apple Juice
I know this has been commented on a few times, but does apple juice really increase the vividness of dreams? I tried it last night and remembered fragments from around 7 or 8 dreams (much more than usual) but only remembered most of 1. Is it more of a mental thing? I don't really like apple juice so I'm wondering if its worth it to try again.
btw: Just realized that my first two threads on this site are titled with a juice name lol. Completely unintentional.

I think it's mostly mental/placebo honestly (and hype)...but the antioxidant effects of apple juice can be good for dream recall. However there are also many foods (like blueberries, etc.) which are much higher in antioxidants and would theoretically work even better if that were the case. Yet I see no one talking about them. I would be interested to see a decent study done, until then, I'm not going to go out and buy some apple juice. I think apple juice is just more popular and gets talked about because it's something a lot of people already have in their fridge and enjoy drinking, so it's easy to try out before bed. Bananas work better for dreams imo.
I might try to do an experiment with various fruits/drinks before bed.

Yeah I figured as much. I thought it was worth a try. Experimenting with other fruits is a good idea, and I would imagine an average serving of fruit before sleep couldn't hurt. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Sure. :) Yeah it definitely won't hurt to try. I don't care if something is only working because it's a placebo, as long as it works ya know? My suggestion to try before bed is bananas and chocolate. Those two things always give me vivid (if not lucid) dreams.
