Binaral beats are supposed to change your brainwaves. Seeing how certain brainwaves correlate to mental states, it's the main assumption that induction of a certain brainwave state via binaural beats indicates a synchronous mental state. According to this, there is no "become lucid" binaural beat. The way I've seen it being used since the beggining is to hasten certain mental states like relaxation, concentration, when doing WILDs etc. I haven't done any EEG tests to prove it works by myself. You should probably check the Lucid Aids forum in the Attaining Lucidity section.
Cool thanks
I've used countless times. Did nothing.
I've used a few times and had worse recall than usual upon waking. I think I get a deeper sleep when I do it and am not as aware of my dreams.
I listened to isochronic tones last night while falling asleep (they're supposed to make you extremely tired and heavy). Although I had to put them away before I actually fell asleep, I had two strange dreams. Unfortunately I fell asleep before I could WILD.
I have used them and noticed nothing special. They do provide a time a great relaxation though.
The only way these could work is if you had the song playing throughout your sleep. But I question this because the stages of sleep are based off of your brain waves, so altering them probably would not be a good idea. Whether or not the binaural beats would have a great enough effect to even change the waves during sleep, I do not know...
I haven't used them to induce lucid dreams but I use them along with meditation and both have greatly increased my recall and vividness.
I have used binaural beats lots of times to induced lucid dreams, and several times have even dreamnt up binaural beats to change my brainwave to Alpha (Relaxed Inside, focused outside) which has been most helpful with waking dreams
I've tried them out many times, and haven't noticed any difference. I admit, at times, I find some of them to sound annoying. I haven't ruled them out yet, however, because I know other people have used them successfully. I did listen to some kind of native drum beats on a loop, a few times, and one of the first times I listened, I had what was either a very vivid dream, or a 5-second astral projection in which I flew out of my house and almost immediately into a tree, then I woke up. If you can get them for free, it's definitely worth a shot.
