A Spiral Staircase...

I've been having this dream for 14 years and i have no idea what it means. I'm in this vast emptiness and it's pitch black. all except fo this stone pillar wrapped with a spiral staircase. It has no beginning and no end. All the way down are doors. Every time i walk inside a new door there's a re-enactment of someones murder or suicide and it's by their ghosts. Every door has a different story but i never understand why i'm seeing it. I also never know the people i'm seeing. If anyone has any idea what any of this could mean please let me know.

Staircases often represent the different levels of consciousness and awareness wihtin our mind. With the top being fully awake and consciously aware, and as you go down the stairacse moving to deeper levels of your subconscoisu and unconscious mind.

I don't think it would be especially helpful to you for me to speculate about what the re-enactments mean as it could send you off in compeltely the wrong direction. Have you ever tried asking the characters and/or the ghosts why they are there and what they represent?
