      A whole New world

      This site is so mind-boggling!

Last night I stumbled onto this site, read all of the info on lucid dreaming that they provided on the home page of the site. Just reading about lucid dreaming I got excited didn't seem like it would be too difficult. I fell asleep last night around 12 and placed an alarm at 2:30. Apparently it's easier to Lucid dream easier this way, woke up at 2:30 and layed back down, all that was racing thru my head was dream, dream, dream. Before I know it I'm sneaking out of my house(feels extremely real it's quite frightening in a sense) I knew I was dreaming the second my golden retriver who had died 2 years ago was outside. It immediately shocked me, I tried keeping my cool not to get too excited, I meet up with people. Apprently there was a party in the apartment complex down the street from my neighborhood, cops show up and of course everyone scatters. I take off and have a cop on my ass, I look back and the damn cop turns into a dog, I'm running like crazy I see a large fence in front of me I just jump close my eyes and think fly fly fly, open my eyes and I'm flying across the lake that surrounds the apartments after that I only remember landing on the roof of my house.

The funny thing about this is what transpired today, I was sharing my crazy ass dream to one of my friends right before we were about to light up a blunt. We pulled up to Casa Ole' as soon as I finished telling my story. We get down and my friend leaves his keys in the car, we are a good 30 minute walk away from one of our houses, we try to open the car, a cop cruises by of course we look suspicious at this point. Asks us what we are doing we explain, of course he was no help just offered to call a wrecker, we declined. We look at it in a positive way and just start walking towards my house to get my car. As we walk we smoke taking a backway leading to the apartments in my dream the night before. As soon as we turn into the apartment complex, security tells us to stop and come towards them, they had obviously seen us smoking. We take off around the lake they start chasing us luckily they are fat and don't catch up to us.

By the time we get to my house I realize that my dream I had last night seemed almost similar to the events that transpired today.

      What would you call this?

Thanks for your feedback, I hope to contribute to this site while I'm here.

      Hi BlazeAllDay,

      to Dreamviews!

Congratulations on your first lucid dream! It sounded pretty exciting, and it was good you didn't wake up from excitement. Sometimes dreams transpire before a similar event happens; it's happened quite a bit with me. I'd call it premonition, although it's all about whether or not you're superstitious and believe in those sort of things. I don't personally believe in it, but it's your call.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
