Introduction
Hello all,
After reading a few threads I decided to join this community, everyone here seems very nice and helpful.
I also wanted to share an experience I've had with lucid dreaming. I think I've only had a few LDs that were DILDs (I think they were DILDS, I realized I was dreaming right in the middle of the dream.) But I didn't really have any control over them. For instance in one that I can remember clearly I was riding a go kart along a race track, the go kart wasn't small but was inproportionate to the size of my body, a good example of what it looked like would be the way everyone looks in the SNES mario kart game.
But these seemed to be shrinking as you drove along the track. All of the sudden though I jumped up from my kart (which continued on without me :P) and I looked down at my hands in disbelief as I realized that I was dreaming, I was amazed that I was able to realize that without waking up and I became flustered. I knew that usually when that happens I wake up so I simply said aloud "uh...skydiving" and suddenly I was falling from an extremely high height, it ended like a typical falling dream though, I woke up right before I hit the ground :P
And there have only been a few other times where I've been able to LD but like I said, its without control. But I am able to control my own actions within the dreams, and unnatural or illogical events seem strange and slightly confusing to me, but I don't pay attention to them too much.
I hope I can learn some techniques here and become an LD pro like the rest of you :D.

Hi TheDayDreamer,
:welcome:
to Dreamviews!
You're right, since you were in the middle of a dream they're DILDs.
If you have a certain thing you want to do in your next LD, I suggest planning out a scenario of it, and go over it a few times in your head. Plan each step out so when you get to it in the dream, you'll know exactly what you're doing. But dream control is really just about expectations, so you don't necessarily need a plan; just remember that anything can happen as long as you "know" it'll happen...
Just like watching a movie you've already seen before; you know the character's going to do a certain thing at one point. For instance, to summon a dream character (a person in your dreams), all I need to do is expect that they'll be behind me, and then I can turn around to face them.
Good luck. =)

Thank you ^^
I don't think I would be able to carry a whole plan into my dreams but I have one simple concept, I've created an idea for an electrical based super power, I call it static jump, the person can wield lighting from their hands and turn into pure electric energy and travel as fast as a lightning bolt, and even through electrical equipment, (imagine going as fast as an e-mail :P) my goal is to enter into a dream with that ability. I've had the idea for a few years but I'm gonna try and start small by seeing if I can make sparks by snapping or clapping in my dreams and eventually make archs of electricity come from me. I intend to fight my nightmares >: )

That sounds really neat.
I haven't created electricity before, but I have done things with fire.

That's cool, I've been reading about people controlling fire on here. It seems like one of the easier elements to control. Has anyone ever tried water bending? And on that note I was wondering if there was a list impressive things that people have done in dreams such as willingly growing to the size of a skyscraper or destroying the moon with an energy blast, ect. and on THAT note, is there a list of all the anagrams people use on here? xD I can guess what most mean, but when some people use one every other word it gets really confusing in context.

stangely enough, before i was aware i could lucid dream and as a child i remember i was using water from the sea to batter some monsterous creature, whenever i swung my arms huge waves directed from the sea would crash onto it... It was the first time i "beat" a nightmare

Haha, THAT is awesome. ^^
