Possible using MILD or DILD. I experienced three LDs like this.

Although I can't say anything for lucid dreaming, I CAN tell you that going to sleep earlier drastically improves my dream recall (more so if I WBTB a few hours later). I've got into the habit of staying up until like 2-4AM on Friday nights, and on those days I practically never remember my dreams the following morning. If I go to bed between 11 and 12, though (which is fairly normal for me) then most of the time I'll at least remember something.
Cool thanks
I've gone to bed late over the past few nights (three or later), and I've had a few lucids, but nothing special.
im not sure about going to sleep early but i heard increasing how much you sleep by 2 hours such as 8hrs of sleep to ten hours you can double your chances of becoming lucid the opposite is also true
Well my sleeping schedule varies. Sometimes I go to sleep at 10AM or noon and I still have DILDs.
I'm not sure if it helps with the DILD or MILD techniques specifically, but sleeping earlier allows you to enter the REM period more often and for a longer period of time since each REM state gets longer after each cycle. Which gives you more chances at attempting to induce lucid dreams, and you won't feel as tired in the morning when you lose sleep waking up in the middle of the night :P. I personally think it will help with the techniques though, since you're mind will be more alert sleeping before 12am than afterward.
