The scariness you felt signals the development of inner awareness while listening to BB. Be relaxed and calm.
What kind of scariness you feel? Is that vibrations and paralysis?
Also, :welcome: to DV
Why are they scary? I found a Binaural Beats app for free on my iPod touch and the beat I use is actually really relaxing. It has a few different sounds. In the background I can hear light rain with occasional thunder. And then in either headphone is a light sine wave sound. So it's not scary at all.
Hi, welcome to Dreamviews! :)
SillyDreamer, I think the OP means that the sound are chilling. I agree that some of them can sound pretty creepy, like you're listening to ambient halloween music. I have a file with alpha binaural beats, however, that actually sounds very nice and soothing.
If you go to Wikipedia's article on binaural beats, there are 2 audio samples on there. The first one is just beats to white noise background. It scared the shit out of me the first time I heard it.
Yes they can be a bit scary, in fact the first time my friend and I tried binaural beats we both had mild nightmares. After the first couple times though they are no longer frightening. :)
lol man I wouldn't give them a second go after nightmares, eff that hey ahaha. I think I'll settle for DILDing
yeah, there's a theta BB called To Dreams Unsettled (find it here Download FREE Binaural Beat MP3s for Sleep | SleepPhones) and I listened to the whole thing while taking a bath in a dark room with lots of candles
pretty damn frightening
I have some binaural beats that have an actual music feel to them and they give different effects and i can tell the difference.
Some binaural beats/isochronic tones can get you to a similiar state as hypnagogia(at least in my experiences) thus it creates minor trembling in me.
You can get used to it, but I find that scary feeling awesome, since I know that the beats have effect on me.
I find isochronic tones better btw.
