★ hello everyone!
hey, how's it going? i'm kaidel and i'm seventeen~ many moons ago (lol) i had an account on this website, since i've had an interest in lucid dreaming since well, fifth or sixth grade, i think. i'm getting ready to go into my senior year of high school, and just saw... inception. (everybody clap, everybody clap!)
the movie inspired me to get back to lucid dreaming... and i know it will be hard because i only had a couple after the few months i worked on it. i never tried wake-induced, honestly. i tried it with the reality checks (?), otherwise i don't think that i was really able to comprehend it that well.
i'm curious, though, how much of inception can really be applied to real... lucid dreaming?

I haven't seen inception yet, but I doubt very much of it is based in reality. You can however create landscapes and scenes from your mind in lucid dreaming, flying is very common. Basically anything that you can imagine is possible in a lucid dream.
If you're not sure that you're doing reality checks correctly, check our tutorial, it's very detailed and accurate. If you have questions, feel free to PM me, I usually respond within a few hours.

"Don't be afraid to dream a little bigger..."
That's about the best thing you can take from Inception :) Enjoy your dreams and if you work towards your goals, you'll achieve them in time. It may take time and practice, but you'll get it if you stick with it. Also, it's not a direct correlation from the movie, but lucid dreaming can give us a chance to examine ourselves from a different viewpoint and allow us to learn something we might otherwise not have become aware of. In dreams one can experience the joys of creation and invention.
If there's something you're having trouble figuring out, let us know. We're happy to help so send your questions our way. Best of luck and sweet lucid dreams!
