I'm new to this forum :)
I don't really know that much about lucid dreaming but I hope I'll learn more.
There are times that I know when I'm dreaming but nothing really changes. I try to make things happen when I know I'm dreaming but nothing ever does. My dream doesn't listen. :?

also, you have to BELIEVE that what your trying to do will happen.... or so i have read, i havent successfully been purposefully lucid YET :)

Maybe you should try changing small things first, my first thing was changing an emergency exit sign into a toilet sign :lol:
and as Mincemeat mentioned you have to "believe" or as I rather say "expect" it to happen.

You have to expect everything in a dream. Expect a dream character's reaction, expect that you'll be able to fly once you push off the ground... It's like watching a movie you've seen before, you already know what's going to happen. Good luck. (:
