Just curious.
How did you become interested in lucid dreams?
Is there a reason you wanted to control your dreams? or did you just want to do it for fun.
I actually became interested in lucid dreams after watching inception. I didn't even think it was possible to completely control your dreams.
The reason i wanted to lucid dream is because i have this regret. It was a situation that i didn't take my chance on, and i pretty much lost that chance.
I though with lucid dreaming i can replay that situation and make a "what-if" dream. i just want to feel how it could have been.

Almost two years ago, someone on another forum brought up lucid dreaming in a thread about dreams. Not sure what made me pay attention finally; When I first him say it, I didn't really pay much attention at all. Others shared their experiences, then I just had this moment of extreme clarity. Everything he was saying made sense. I was demanding "Say what? Are you freaking serious?"
Then it was just a few steps from Google to here.

I was thinking about making a thread like this one this morning.
The first I heard about Lucid Dreaming was on a music forum just over a year ago. I always loved reading about this kind of thing so I downloaded a couple of PDFs and read through them with mild interest. I realised around then that when I was younger I'd experienced some brief moments of lucidity in dreams, and that was when I really became set on learning how to do it for real. I didn't really know enough about lucid dreaming at that point to have any success, though.
Anyway, eventually one of the guides I read referred to Dreamviews, so I lurked for a few days and then joined.

I'd had false awakenings and didn't realise it was a scientifically explained phenomenon. It was terrifying, absolutely terrifying. Eventually I had one unintentionally and, because I'd read a little about lucid dreaming, I was able to have a degree of control without too much fear. Then I was hooked.

my boyfriend got interested after watching Inception, showed me the forums, described some of the techniques, and now here I am
I'm always anxious that I'm not living my life to the fullest. By gaining consciousness in my dreams, I'm getting twice as much living out of the day. I can learn to do things in my dreams that I could never do in the real world. I love the thought that my dreaming life can enrich and compliment my waking life

I always had lucid dreams as a child before actually knowing what they were, i discovered dream control and came up with my own dream control techniques. Then one day somehow i got into a conversation with my friend about dreaming and he brought up lucid dreaming. A few years after that, I was browsing an info thread and saw something about lucid dreaming. That resparked my interest because I didn't know there was a way to actually induce and stabilize these dreams, so after some google searches i settled on dreamviews :)

My friend found out about lucid dreaming and told me about it. It sounded cool and I checked it out and now I am very interested in my dreams ( i didn't take note of them before) and LDs.

I became interested in lucid dreaming because I wanted to learn a bit about my subconscious. And exploring your dreams is the best way to know your subconscious
