Hello everybody
Hello all! Let me first say; you've created a wonderful resource here. My motivation in searching out information on lucid dreaming and dream recall in general was basically annoyance: I used to remember dreams quite frequently when younger, but in the past few years, my recall has been absolutely horrible-maybe one every other month. In the past, however, I have 'accidentally' experienced a partially lucid dream, and once experienced a fully lucid dream.
The first instance included a very vivid dream about tornados in my hometown. I realized that there was an impossibly huge mountain in the dream where one should not be, and was able to change a person in the dream to somebody else, but did not at the time connect this with dreaming. My fully lucid dream was a rather odd experience; I was working on a quantum mechanics problem in my sophomore year of college and became too tired to continue, even though the problem was due the next day. I went to bed, and in a dream was able to work out the rest of the problem. At the time, I realized I was dreaming, but kept working on the problem for what seemed like about an hour. I woke up, wrote down the solution, turned it in, and later found out I was right. Now I can say that I've solved the Schrodinger equation in my sleep!
In any case, these experiences came to mind recently, so I decided to do some research on lucid dreaming and dream recall. I started the auto-suggestion method before sleep last week, and after a week of fruitless hoping, I finally was able to remember two dreams from last night. I accidentally used the WBTB method, as I turned off my alarm and dozed for a while before getting up. I was so surprised that I had remembered dreams that, initially, I forgot about journaling them. I eventually sat down and wrote both in my dream journal, and found that as I wrote, more details came to mind. Quite incredible! I have high hopes for the future.

Good luck with your future accomplishements :3

Ha! that's fantastic!

That's awesome that you were able to solve your equation in your dream. I've had things like that happen before, but never to that degree. I normally take it as a sign that I am working too hard and need a vacation.

Yeah, I was working way too hard that night. Still; it seemed to work out for the best. Since I started my dream journal, I've begun to notice some dream signs: a particular wastepaper basket (it has appeared three times on two different nights), things from the 1950s (these pop up in almost EVERY dream I have to at least some degree), and a semi-mysterious Brown Haired Woman who appears once every night. It's quite interesting.
