2 Quick Questions !
Hey guys.
I have been trying to Ld for like 5 days now ( not much compared to some ), I do my reality check maybe 10 times a day. , but when I dream I so far havn't tried doing reality check. The thought just never pops into my mind. For examply last night I dont even remember dreaming :( .
Another question: Do you need to enter sleep paralysis to have a LD ? or does it just improve your chances or something?
I'm so jealous of you guys at DV!

Try upping the number of RCs taht you do. Write RC on your wrist and do one every time that you see that.
No, you don't have to go into SP to DILD.
:welcome:

With lucid dreaming you can't expect to get results right away, you need to have patience to do it. However, I am planning to test a new-ish method with some people, and I want to do it with people at all skill levels. The method I somewhat came up with got me results on my first and second tries, and I want to see if it works with others. If you would like to test a method with possible first-time results, send me a PM so I can send you the details.
You don't need to enter SP to get into a dream, though, that's only necessary in WILD and maybe some other techniques; can't remember if there are any others besides WILD, though.

Entering SP is only necessary if you're trying to WILD, which involves going from being awake to being asleep with no break in consciousness. Reality checks are most useful for the DILD technique, which is what you're trying to do.
Five days isn't very long at all, so give it time. You're keeping a DJ, right? A dream journal is actually more important than habitual RCs; it improves your recall and lets you know what kind of trends your dreams are following.
Welcome to DV. :)
