Weird 2D lucid dream
Hey everyone! First time poster here looking for advice.
Usually when I have a lucid dream I can reliably control both my movements and the dream setting. I had one last night, but I experienced a really frustrating problem for the first time. Once I realized I was dreaming, the setting suddenly became 2D -- it was like I was in front of a TV screen. Although I could control what I saw on it, I couldn't enter the scene. I tried to jump into it at one point but couldn't -- I didn't even have a body to jump with! It was so strange. Have any of you experienced this? Advice appreciated :)

Odd =o
I only ever experience stuff like that when I'm first starting to go to bed, or when I'm starting to wake up (the whole hypnagogic imagery thing)
Maybe you got excited and it put you on the brink or waking up, but you managed to hold your emotion just enough to stay where you were? That sounds horribly frustrating to say the least...
