      I'm new and I have a question.

First I want to say I didn't know about LD before, I found this site after clicking a link on www.howstuffworks.com and after reading a bit about Lucid dreaming I remembered a dream I had that was unusual, It goes like this:

I'm alone in a hotel room which I've never seen before, suddenly a faceless character appears and all of a sudden, I feel like i'm thinking aloud and talking to myself... It was something like "No, This isn't right, This isn't who I want to be with!" and then the faceless character disappears and another character appears, this time a girl but still faceless... the dream ends that way...

Please note I didn't know about LD before that.... Could it be that I was controlling my own dream? I read dream recalling is needed and I have to say I'm pretty good at recalling dreams and remembering them, I still remember some of my dreams I had when I was 6 years old, Or more recent dreams like 2 weeks before.

      Please clarify everything for me...
      Thanks.

Well that wasnt necessarily a Lucid dream ... it could have been "scripted" into a normal dream. Were you aware that you were dreaming? Did your surroundings become alot more vivid and realisitic?

Also... you should be able to recall at least 1-3 dreams a night before trying LD induction methods.

It just felt different from other dreams, like suddenly I woke up inside the dream and realized the something wasn't right, It felt just like thinking in the real world, like correcting a mistake...

And yeah, I usually can recall a couple of dreams a night...

      And thanks

Well by definition to be lucid you had to be "aware that you were dreaming". Did you think to yourself, wow I'm dreaming? Did it feel like it was happening in real-time, like a real life event almost? From what I hear it does sound to me like you had a lucid dream...and since you do have good recall you should find it easier to learn from Dream Views how to become an expert lucid dreamers and control your dreams whenever you want And Welcome!!!

The dream felt realistic all along, Like I could reach out and touch everything in it...
I'm not sure If I knew I was dreaming, I can only describe the feeling, The dream froze, It was disconnected from the dream for a moment and thought about it while being awake, then I went to sleep again and coninued my dream the way I wanted it to coninue.
And I do recall waking up about 2 minutes after that.

      Thanks for the welcome.

when you feel something is not right that usually means pre lucid dream but what i can say is that for someone who has not tried controled experements that dream seemed to show some awareness of your surondings.

That site's good at getting us members.

Welcome! That dream doesn't sound like a lucid. But it was close, an reality check could have helped in making it into one. Check out the tutorials so you don't miss out on another chance like this.
