Are people's dream guides-related or came from the Native's spirit guides?
Since one similarity between our dream guides (I haven't found mine yet) and the Native's spirit guides is they are usually both animals.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, to be honest...
Though I haven't had much experience with my dream guide, and even less with my spirit guide...Animals aren't of any importance to me. In fact, they're quite the opposite. In every experience I've had, whether dream, spiritual, or psychedelic, animals have been a sign of evil for me.
Of course, it could just be that I'm...messed up. Which is extremely likely, but yea...More detail and I'll try to answer better?
I know quite a bit about both dream guides (not that I have had one in my dream yet) and about the Native People's Spirit Guides. I have read stories about Native people (sons mostly) who have gone out into the woods to find their "spirit guides". I noticed from people's descriptions of their dream guides that they are mostly anmials. Well the Native people's spirit guides are/were animals. So I am wondering if we kind of adapted the spirit guide into our dream guides?
It's possible, depending on your views/beliefs. Your dream guide could be anything from a manifestation of your beliefs which makes itself into a shape you're most comfortable with, or it could be a completely separate entity that's choosing to associate itself with you in your most intimate thoughts (dreams).
I couldn't specifically say too much about whether they're adapted, as I've yet to meet my 'guide' with any depth...I've only brushed against them, so to speak. Perhaps someone with more experience could give you a more in-depth insight. These are all just my random thoughts on the issue..I'm finding it hard to word my thoughts on the matter..
I personally believe them to be two different entities, giving you direction through two different sources of knowledge. Sorry, I just really can't think right now...I'll try to reply later if I can get my thoughts together..
