What does SP feel like compared to numbness?

I'm new to Lucid Dreaming, i havent yet had one. but i have been trying to WILD for a little over a week now and i cant get past a certain point, even though it takes over 30 minutes just to get to this point. I feel the numbness, wind in my face, heart beat feels like its racing, harder to breathe, a light behind my eye lids.. but i cant see anything besides light, i dont hear anything, and i cant get any further? i dont really know if i have felt SP yet, or if its just intense numbness. So i have a few questions that i would love if someone could help me with.

What exactly does SP feel like?

Is it possible that im just a person that dont hear or see anything?

How do i move past this stage? because when i see the light that seems is in front of my face it only lasts what seems like 20 seconds, (and this is when my heart races, and i feel really numb and a little tingly and its hard to breathe) and then i just go back to numbness. and it seems like im starting over at that point.
(ive tried to "exit" my body but every time is a failure)

If somebody is willing to help me out, or give me some advice or any tips it would be GREAT! im so confused on what to do..

Actually, all are same. Numbness=SP. Sensations may vary from person to person. High vibrations are occured in the treshold of getting into SP. Be calm/relaxed. Breath calmly, deliberately and slowly.
Exit method:
Open your mouth slowly, and roll down from the bed/get up. Walk away from your physical body.
Perform one or two Reality Checks.
Do deepening and stabilization techniques, like rubbing hands, touching and feeling everything in your surroundings.

I don't understand when you do WILD aren't you just thrusted upon the dream. How is this suppose to be done when you say "roll down from the bed"

I hope that you might have experienced the same in SP. Rolling away from your body is an exit method (to the dream) while you are in SP.

In my experience of SP, it's a little different to numbness. When I first tried a WILD, I just got to the point of SP. I felt like I didn't have a body in the first place :S

i always end up rolling my physical body, is there a trick to rolling?

I believe the heart races, because you think you have entered SP, but really haven't. I know what you are going through, because it happened to me.
I felt numb, kind of hard to move limbs, but if I really wanted to I could. Breathing became heavier. Those I think are just signs of an uncomfortable position lol. When I truly had my first SP, it was during a WBTB. Once you really attain SP you will know the difference. I really don't get HI, but I do hear things besides the fan and clock, I will see shadows over my eye lids. One time I actually opened my eyes and saw bursts of blue light like diamonds in a web formation. I will get a strong rushing feeling over my body, it's like butterflies, but way more intense. Once all that subsides, you will enter a "black void" so to speak. From there that is when you try rolling your conscious over like it was a body, if you can do that without actually falling off the bed, then you my friend will be either LDing/Astral Projecting/OBEing depending on what you believe in. You will feel like a floating conscious, kind of like ectoplasm from a ghost, but not exactly. Well that is all that I experienced. Try doing a WBTB, wait about an hour and a half, and take a nap. That might do the trick. Oh and don't get freaked by SP, I did and it ended with me hurting my jaw haha.

Hey, thanks alot. i guess ill just have to wait and see. It's always been a real problem with me trying to find a comfortable position at night, so what you said makes sense. But i cant explain the white light and the wind in my face. its a really weird sensation. thanks again
