Another Recall Question ( Sorry guys lol )

Ok, I've been keeping a Dream Journal to keep track of my dreams. Well, for the past 2 days I couldn't remember what the hells been going on in my head! lol.

I think I know why, but I would like some opinions from some from " The pros " lol.

Ok, well, every morning around 6am my wife is up, getting ready for her job. She wakes me up when she leaves at 6:10ish so I can get our son off to school ( I dont have to work until about 10am ). Well, every morning ( Mon - Friday ), it's the same routine, she comes into the room, and hits my foot to wake me up. Well, it doesn't take much to wake me up and AS SOON as she taps my foot, the covers are off, Im out of bed without a thought like I wasn't even asleep in the first place.

Well, it seems like when this happens I have a hell of a hard time recalling the nights dreams. I think it's because when I wake up so suddenly like this, and get up out of bed ( in a matter of 10 seconds at the most.. like a Cheetah! lol ) and don't take the time to recollect my dreams. I've read a few times that dream recalling should be done by when you wake up, you lay in bed, and just recollect on the nights dreams so they start coming back to you.
Could my sudden waking up, and IMMEDIATELY starting a routine be the reason Im having a hard time with dream recall.

I thought about setting the alarm on my phone to go off like 4 hours after I go to bed, and then like 10 minutes before I wake up usually.

The way it is with me is, sometimes after my son goes to school ( If I don't have much to do ), I will lay back down for another hour or 2, and wake up naturally. Well, when I do this ( so far ), it seems like THIS is the time I have my dreams, and recall them. Also, Im worried about setting my alarm through the middle of the night. I'd be so pissed if I were in the middle of my first LD, or just an awesome random dream and the alarm woke me up out of it!.

Any thoughts? Thanks guys so much, Im learning so much from you all!

( Also, I just started learning so I dont have any HARD proof. But over the weekend, Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon ( Holiday no school / work ) I logged in my dream journal all 3 mornings, and all 3 mornings I wake up semi natural, and even if I dont I just lay in bed because I've got nothing that needs to be done right away so I just lay there and think and " recollect ". )

Well, I just woke back up from going to back to sleep for about an hour. Had a dream about having dinner at a Gas Station / Diner in the middle of nowhere with my mom, and brother. I ended up logging almost a full page in my dream journal of the event. I recalled almost word for word our entire conversation.
