Late at night, there's a bit of lag sometimes.
Hey Samael what WILD do you recommend I use? For when I'm at my Aunt's Because im sharing a flat/shed with my family at the moment. And they Snore, keep the light on and just never shut up in general.
Wait. Is it late at night where you are? Im in Sydney,Australia.
WILDs might not be the best method for inducing LD's if there are so many distractions like lights, snoring, etc.
I would actually suggest doing something a bit more like a WBTB/DILD or WBTB/MILD combo...
When you WILD, it's really important to have no distractions. WILDs essentially all start out as a deep meditation. You have to relax yourself deep enough to invoke sleep paralysis, and then also find that precarious balance between falling asleep and staying aware that you are doing so. For me, I can only WILD with a lot of sensory deprivation :)
That said, there is another debated method which involves music. This might work better with a WILD. Play a song (recommended that the song has no lyrics and isn't heavy metal or the like :P) on repeat and fall to sleep... the song may bleed through into your dream, which would cause you to recognize it and become lucid. It's more of an EILD, but if you played the song while WILDing, the song could be used as an "anchor" (which is something to focus passively on as you fall back to sleep - often the song carries through into the dream).
Right now, all I do is DILD/MILD. I think it's a great combo but one thing about using this technique is patience. I try the WILD when I have the time too though.
Thank you. I will try.
