A little help here?
I came across this forum when I was researching about lucid dreaming,
And I would like to ask a question.
I've had my first lucid dream(or probably the 2nd), last week.
I've done my RC in my dream and I got really nervous and excited when I noticed that I'm actually dreaming, that I woke up, without experimenting on what I can do in a lucid dream.
Any suggestions on how I can stay calm so as to not wake myself up the next time I LD?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Well, you could, before you go to bed, keep telling yourself that you will not get overexcited, and belive that you wont, since willpower is more important than many new LD'ers think.

It can be difficult to not wake up if you're only one your first or second LD. Once you get used to the feeling of becoming lucid, the excitement will fade enough so you don't wake up. Like Jervilan said, willpower and autosuggestion can also work well for some people. Use a placebo effect and keep telling yourself that the next time you become lucid, you won't get overexcited.

Aelynthl, first of all, Welcome to DV!!!!
Premature awakening is a very common symptom for people who experiences their very first lucid dreams. It sucks but it is a fact.
As advice, I can say that you repeat to yourself, "I will stay calm when I turn lucid" and truly believe it. Visualize yourself turning lucid and feeling calm. I recommend you walk, do not start to go crazy or take of flying (I actually take off flying right away, but that is because I am odd! I do not recommend that)
Try to explore the dream. Look around. Try to feel your surroundings. Observe, breath deep, hear the sounds, try to touch a tree or something humid... that will anchor you to the dream.
We have plenty of tutorials around the boards. Take a look over them, they do help a lot!!!
Feel free to drop me an PM if you have questions!

Everyone else pretty much covered it. If you keep waking up, don't worry. Eventually getting lucid will feel normal and you won't wake yourself up.

Just make sure your trying to take in as many details about your dream as possible. Two other common ways of stabilizing a dream is to rub your hands together or spin around. However spinning will most likely change your setting and teleport you to either where you were thinking or a random place.
I recommend you watch this video on how to prolong a dream by Reece Jones on youtube. I can't post the URL due to forum restrictions but just search 'How to Prolong a Lucid Dream' on youtube.
Also I suggest lookin at his other videos as well, he knows his stuff!

Thanks for all the advices!
Sadly, I haven't have any lucid dreams since that night. ):
I guess I'll look around the forum and youtube for increasing my chances of having LD.
Thanks again! (:
