That might work, but it sounds like you are just starting out so I have some advice which you might already be doing, IDK. Make sure you are keeping a dream journal. This will increase your dream recall and overall dream clarity. Do LOTS of reality checks. I tend to forget to do them myself, but the days I do randomly remember to do a couple I usually end up having a LD that night. Don't expect to just have one because you are thinking about it a lot. It took me a couple months of doing a journal and reality checks before I started having and LDs at all. Good luck though!
It's all fine... you can add doing reality checks during your WBTB to help wake up your prefrontal cortex... think about a goal you might want to do... think about how cool it would be to discover you're dreaming. Think about a past normal dream where you had the opportunity to get lucid, but for some reason it didn't happen... but now imagine you DID get lucid from it :)

That should score you some great dreams. I think WBTB is the #1 thing you can do to improve the quality of your dreams, and chances of lucidity.
