Had a mid-day LD and totally blew it

Haha I was so disapointed when I woke up... I decided to take a powernap after reading about DEILD. I have allways been good at dream-chaining, so yeah I decided to try this.

After chaining maybe 4-5 dreams and forgetting the 2-3 first or so, I had a dream of myself sitting in my old room in my hometown. I was sitting by the computer doing something when I woke up.

I fell asleep again almost instantaneously and suddenly I was in a totally different room in my house doing the exact same thing. So I decided I wanted to see if I was still sitting in the other room.

I got up from the chair, and ran as fast as I can ( I have problems staying in the LD's long, so I decided to outrun it this time hehe ) but just when I grabbed the doorway, I woke up....

So disapointing! I know I should have calmed down and stabilize things, but in my mind I had kind of a chance to see myself. + add not thinking straight and it was bound to fail huh..

I've been blowing a lot of LD's lately too. It's obviously important to stabilize, but I think it's also important to realize and develop a mindset of control and confidence.

I think the error of my ways is that I try to stabilize because I'm afraid the dream is going to end. This always leads to disaster. On the other hand, my long memorable LDs seem so effortless. Next time, I'm going to try saying a mantra to reassure myself, even before any stabilizing techniques.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Yeah I'm feeling you brother.. If you think a lot about not waking up, that's probably exactly whats going to happen. I need to stay away from that evil, evil habbit :p

When i took a nap, I was dreaming and blablabla, in a part where i go into a bathroom, idk how i realized i was dreaming but i did. So i tried to make something fly, but i got too excited and everything started to vanish, THEN i rememberd to rub my hands, i started to rub them , to rub them, then everything goes white and Im in front of a computer watching metallica music videos... Weird i know, but in this second scene im not lucid, idk why, but im not..

I had my first lucid dream as well. I think it was about a week or so ago, and I was in some place at a help desk of some sort when all of a sudden I was like woah, I'm dreaming. I think it might have been because I was thinking to myself in my dream, why am I asking for help in this place, lol. But anyways; I started to try and think of something to control, and all I could think to do was slit someone's throat with my mind (I have no idea why, I thought this could prove I was controlling the dream directly). So I walked up to a man and tried to visualize cutting his throat but nothing happened. So I stuck up my hand pointing at his throat and Bam it happened, and no it was not that gory. Then.. Nothing, don't recall anything after that. I guess I was too excited I actually accomplished anything at all. I need to learn how to remain calm because I didn't even remember my surroundings at the time of this.
I am here to Incept your mind...

Hehe it's frustrating.. I just want to stay in there for hours and do all sorts of things. Even have time to take breaks
