Newcomer here and some questions.

Hello guys, I'm not exactly new to the lucid dreams, I "discovered" it last year when i was researching about dreams, but never gave it attention, except at the beginning. This week i decided try to take it seriously.

The DV forum is an amazing source of information, i'm learning a lot here, thanks for that guys :cheeky:

Some questions:

1- The digital-clock checking is an effective RC?

2- Once i had an LD where i was aware that i was dreaming (duh) but i tried to fly and i just fell in to the ground :? After that the dream begin to shake, become blurry and i woke up. Is it normal or there is something wrong?

3- Is possible to dream that you are lucid dreaming? I had one "LD" once that i still don't know if it really happened.

1. Yes.

2. That is normal, you don't get complete control when you are just starting. You will eventually get the hang of it.

3. Yes, it is possible. I don't think there is a name for that state of lucidity, though. I have an entry of it in my dream journal in case you want to see it.

1- yep, one of my favs next to pushing your thumb threw your hand
2- its normal, flying takes time to learn(well i havnt tryed it but iv heard manny people say that)
3- ya. matter of fact the first night i learned about LDing i had a dream where i was 'lucid' but i wasnt...

Yes and no. What matter, really, is awareness, not only the RC itself. The RC is used to check if one is dreaming or not.
Clocks can work well in dreams, and can not. It's variable. I have had a dream where I did look at the clock like 3 times, it always changed the time, but I didn't became lucid.

It's normal the first times being like this. You first need to stalibilize the dream. About not being able to fly, it's all to do with belief that you can do something. In dreams, it's all about beliving that you can fly, or other things.

Yes. Those are known as false lucids, I have them a lot. You'll know what is a real lucid and what is a false lucid.

Thanks for the answers, i will keep my focus and train to LD, cuz i think its an experience for the rest of our lives.

I will focus in DILD, this year is an heavy one for me, studying like 6 hours a day plus 6~7 hours in school, so my sleeping time is damn precious, WILD would be for the vacations. :D

Just for curiosity, how many dreams you guys have per night? Are the long or just random images?

With my DJ my recall is improving nicely, I think the dream itself fascinating, the lucid one I don't even need to say.

We have lots of dreams each night, but only remember some of them. In my best days I can remember like 6 or 5 dreams, these last three or two weeks have been crappy for me, no recall at all.

If you wake up at night or have an iPod touch/iPhone, check out the FILD tutorial and CAN-WILD tutorial, respectively.

i have 2(that i remember) i used to be able to remember 3 or sometimes 4- but i havnt used my jurnal in forever so thats probabaly why...
