Speed demon
Last night I had a very complicated dream involving sleep paralysis, several false awakenings and a staff that shoots out parma violets. However, the outcome was my first lucid dream! I looked in the mirror and noticed I had 3 sets of teeth on the top row. Then I did some reality checks and I got lucid! So the first thing I did was smash the window and start flying. There was a problem though. In every dream I have where I fly I uncontrolably go way to fast, get intense butterflies in my stomach and wake up. It does feel amazing because you would probably feel like that in real life but it does make you wake up, which really sucks. Does anyone know a way in which I can slow down or control my butterflies? :flyaway:

Ok, I would say you got into the dream way too fast. What I recommend is that once you find out you are dreaming, start looking around, look at your hands in detail and just simply slow down. Try to not get emotional, dont get excited, just stay calm until the dream stabilizes. Then after that, start flying and doing whatever you want and it should help you stay in the dream longer.
good luck
