Scared to LD :S
uhh ok, im kind of scared of LD. i dont know why, im new to this. it kind of seems overwhelming cuz i absolutely HATE nightmares. what if you LD in a nightmare, what if u imagine something scary in a LD? I'm am scared of this happening. i want to LD real bad, can you guys help me out?
ive read that if you are lucid dreaming and you look in the mirror, you could look really F**ked Up, and this could make you enter a nightmare. scary stuff :S

Theres no reason to have a nightmare if your lucid. You know your dreaming so theres nothing to be scared of. The only thing that will cause a nightmare is your anxiety. :P sort of like you have nothing to fear but fear itself. Dreams are effected by your expectations and your beliefs so if you expect something scary to happen it will.
Its also not necesarily true that if you look in the miror you will look all messed up and scary. When ever I look in them I look perfectly normal. Infact its almost strangly perfect some times. I also belive that the reason people see them selves as messed up is because they read that it would like you did.

thx, tht makes me feel a bit more confident. i do have one question though, have you ever saw yourself all scary looking in the mirror, or even enter a nightmare through a lucid dream?
-
No Ive always looked normal although back when I first started I was also scared about looking in a miror for the same reason you were. I have never had a nightmare in a lucid although I almost never have nightmares. Ive read about people being lucid in nightmares but I'm pretty sure they became lucid because it was a nightmare and not the other way around. Infact lucid dreaming is one of the best ways to get rid of nightmares.

I had one bad LD during a false awakening where I got back into bed, because I though I was really awake, and when I looked up I saw the guy from jeepers kreepers crouching ove me. It was extremely frightening and I knew I was dreaming at that point, but I let it get the best of me haha.
