What are the dangers of Lucid dreaming?

Okay, this may seem a stupid question, but are there any dangers invloved in Lucid dreaming?
I have done some basic research on Lucid dreaming, but I want to find out more...

I'm fairly certain there are none. Well, I haven't experienced any ill effects, except perhaps fustration at not having lucid dreams.

I think there are some dangers. Getting addicted to the dream world and ignoring your behavior in the real world. This can affect people like other addictions in that they want to sleep all the time instead of going to work, school, socializing in person, etc.

Also, someone here mentioned that if you get into controlling your dreamself really well and get carried away, it can actually separate from your real self, so eventually you can't remember your dreams at all.

I think there are some very good uses for lucid and controlled dreams: working out emotions, practicing traits you want in yourself, overcoming bad habits, getting a handle on psychological problems, enducing creativity, working on your spiritual aspects, etc.

If you do it just for fun that's fine, but be careful not to get carried away or too attached to the experiences, or you'll run the risk of getting lazy in real life. I'm sure that's not true of everyone who does it for fun, just keep a watch on yourself that you don't end up enjoying dream life more than real life.

The first I would classify as a danger of being drunk, not a danger of lucid dreaming. You could be drunk and walk out in front of a bus by accident too -- does that mean that walking is dangerous?

Besides, that's why you do reality checks to make sure you're really dreaming before you go do something that would be dangerous in real life.

The second could apply to non-lucid dreams as well, so I still don't see any dangers of lucid dreaming in and of itself.

dangers for you wile in a dream

From what I've read there are no dangers for you wile in a dream. On a beginner CD that I have the author does state that if you have any mental problems such as schizophrenia or have a problem telling the difference between reality and fantasy or suffer from hallucinations you should consult a doctor first. I have heard another opinion that if you had a bad heart that it could be affected, but I think that was just there opinion. I would say for a generally healthily person it is safe and some even claim it to improve there health. I have a more positive outlook on life because of them.

Only trouble I seem to have is being sleepy afterward, since it takes me freaking FOREVER to become lucid at night.
