It probably differs from person to person, so I wouldn't say it's too uncommon. Lots of my dreams occur at school, but most others occur in strange, made-up places too. For me it's 50/50. |

I've never had a dream that took place in a place that I'm really familiar with. I think that if I dreamed in my own house or something I would instantly become lucid because I've never had a dream that was visually as real as real life. I wonder if my brain knows this somehow so it just doesn't put me in places that I'm familiar with... It's interesting but at the same time kind of annoying because there are some places I'd like to visit during my LDs which I can't get to because I simply can't get myself to teleport or anything in them haha. Well I dunno, is this true for anyone else? (never had a dream in a familiar place) |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

It just depends for me, I dream more about places I haven't been to or exist but sometimes my dreams occur at school or home. |

Friends are people you care about, no matter what.
Goals: Have a shared dream[ ], Meet Saria[?], Zelda[?], and Malon[ ] from Legend of Zelda, visit Hyrule[ ], find my Dream guide[ ], visit the Star Wars galaxy[ ], do a ToTM or ToTY[ ], befriend a dragon [ ], find/create my dream world[ ], forge/find a unique sword[ ], visit Gensokyo[ ]
Oh okay thanks. I just have read a lot of experiences of people at home or at school so I was like whaaa?? because I've never dreamed of either place, at least that I can remember. I don't remember my dreams very often though unless they're lucid I must say so maybe I have. |

Here's a copy-paste from my DILD guide. It really helps me to remember dreams if I'm going through a dry spell. |

Oh okay thanks. I've tried just laying and thinking when I wake up without getting out of bed but it doesn't seem to help. When I don't remember dreams, it seems more like there weren't any anyways. Like it's not a space that I can't remember, it's just I fell asleep and then was awake haha. I'll try doing this more though but I usually don't get a chance due to my parents yanking me out of bed in the morning... |

Even writing down one sentence of something you can remember will gradually lead to better recall. Put down anything you can remember, there's gotta be something. |

Haha yeah that usually works when I can remember any part of it but most days there's just nothing =O |

I have always found that Vitamin B-6 ruins my dream recall! give it a shot though, it probably works for most people. |

I don't really dream of familiar places either. Usually it's a random location. |
|
What sort of places do you dream about, if they are not familiar? |
