Hi Ethan! Having a lucid dream is very individual. Some people get it the first night, and some people get it after much longer than that. I do believe however, that you can achieve lucidity within a week if you try really hard. Start with checking your surroundings like once an hour, preferably more often than that. Do a realitycheck and get a feel for how it feels to be awake. Think alot about lucid dreaming and set up a goal you want to accomplish. Imagine yourself accomplishing that goal, and feel the surge of happiness which follows.
When you're in bed, I would suggest you try some mantras. "I am dreaming" is a short and nice mantra which I use. This is something you should do 10 minutes before sleep, and try to make your last thoughts about lucid dreaming.
A WBTB is a great tool for becoming lucid. It increases your chances ALOT. Try that out when you can. Also REM-Rebound is something I would recommend. It gives you alot more dreams.

Keep on dreaming!
Hey Matte, you told me that DILD would be the best for me. Please explain in steps what i should do tonight before i go to bed.
DILD is more of a, daily routine kinda technique. It involves you realitychecking alot. You have to look for dreamsigns in your dreams, which you then program yourself to recognise, and make yourself remember to realitycheck whenever you see your dreamsign. It can be a reoccuring character, place or event.
Just think alot about lucid dreaming, and know it's possible. Hope to get one, just before you fall asleep. You might get lucky!
Read the tutorial on the wiki if you need more info. Good luck and keep on dreaming!
Well thanks so much Matte. I will hope i do have one. Thanks
