my first lucid dream was an OBE, and high emotions. (how to improve)
I recently did a paper on lucidity for a college course. After doing this i recently talked myself into practicing techniques to lucid dream. My first lucid dream was weird...
My first lucid dream:
I woke up 2 times before the lucid dream and was quickly recalling them and returning to sleep, thinking about inducing myself into lucidity. Every time I woke I would perform the reality check that seemed the most practical for me which was pinching my nose and breathing. After my second waking, i felt myself slowly drift into the dream which was very fuzzy, and next thing you know i was in the dream setting with a stranger in front of me. I am not sure how long it was before my awareness kicked in to perform the reality check, because i am sure there was much more before that. But it seemed like seconds from my waking conscious reality check to my dream reality check. Anyways i performed the reality check and what do you know? I could breath even though i was pinching my nose holes together lol. After i realized this, my awareness went slightly low and i found myself in my room where i woke up the last 2 times that night. I performed the reality check again to make sure i was still dreaming and i still could breath from the nose pinch. My house was dark and i started to get scared because i was thinking of the girl from the ring. I thought if thought of her hard enough she would be summoned into my dream, even though i know it was just a dream, i just never wanted to see her. I gathered myself together and slowly got up, and tried the spinning technique to change the setting. At the same time i was yelling "I want more clarity" and next thing you know I heard a mumble from my conscious body. I felt my dream thing out and i fell back into my body, i performed the reality check again and when i pinched my nose, i couldn't breath :(
what just happened and how can i improve?
now whenever i feel myself doing the reality check and it works, i quickly wake up without any real reason. I'm not excited or anything. i dont think i am at least lol
also thank you for reading this weird first experience of mine. is it even weird to some of you expert lucid dreamers?
