Hi!
well, My names Adam.
I came here in the hopes to better understand what I'm capable of.
I've had weird dreams before, then later in life learned that I could control the outcomes of them. I've always been curious about mastering this technique of lucid dreaming to do many thing like overcome fears, live fantasies, and discover new ways of thinking.
My mind is always in the clouds during the day, I wish I could keep them there during the night.

Welcome to the boards! Are you a natrual LDer then or did you just "luck" into most of them?

Luck.
I swear when WHEN I do LD I freak out and snap back awake.(Why am i standing on the ceiling looking up at the floor paradox.)
i recently bought a book on how to LD, wrote by a guy named Leberg or something. I have been looking into supplements aswell like Valerian root, and melatonin.
I can never ld for very long, and usualy there really awkward.
the last time i tried some of my own meditation deep thought techniques where i visualize and feel myself rocking then feel a free fall. like falling down end endless cliff. then i try to slow down, then either i panic and wake up or i get a grip and control it.
but 90 percent of the time its just luck.

Stephen LaBerger? He is one of the leading scientists behind LDing so his stuff is definatly worth reading (a bit off topic but what is the book called? I wouldnt mind buying it)
I also suggest you look up stablization techniques whenever you feel ready to prolong your dreams, they help quite a bit.
*Edit* And I don't know if he mentions the different Induction techniques in his book, but just in case you should look up WILD (Wake Induced/Initiated Lucid Dream) and DILD (Dream Induced) and EILD (Externally Induced) and the different variations of them and then find what works for you :)

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge PhD. [Mass Market Paperback] 352 pages (Got it from amazon for 10 bucks)
I should be getting the book in the mail in afew days.
right now ive been working off what i already know, surfing around and listing to people and taking advice. i havent read the book yet, but im sure ill read it from cover to cover.
What got me really interested in LD is when i watched this anime awhile back called "Ghost Hound" these 3 kids share a traumatic experience and begin having OBE's it had alota physiological reverences in there and i immediately began doing research like any other worthy knowledge seeker.
(Naturally when a person wants to learn something, he must seek out others with knowledge and experience.)
I really wanna make this happen.

Welcome to site! You should:
- Start a dream journal to improve dream recall. No use to get lucids if you can't remember them, right? :P
- Start doing reality checks if you haven't already, to improve your awareness
There's for starters. Also, here is many tutorials for lucid dreaming. Tutorials
