let me introduce myself!

hello all!

my name is ramiel
angel of thunder rawr! hehe

i'm 18 years old (almost 19 woho!) and i live in the Netherlands

i'm pretty new to all this stuff about dreaming but im really excited that something like this exist! its like a world were i can do everything i ever wanted to try :D.

and i think i had something like a lucid dream before.
i don't know how the dream went but i know that in the end of it i felled somekind of freedom like suddenly all the restriction were gone and i could move on my own
unfortunately this only last for like 2 seconds.

i started a dream journal yesterday and i did dreamed something but i forgot!
i really have a hard time laying still when i wake up. i move automaticly.
but i hope i can improve anything with dreaming drasticly at this place
because i love to dream! :)

but i may have something that works against the progress. and thats that i cant sleep early. i mostly have on the normal school days like 7/6 hours of sleep
when i go earlier to my bed the problem is that i stay awake untill the time is reached when i normally fall asleep.
but is this a big burden for lucid dreaming or not?

anyways i certainly enjoy my stay here!

About 6/7 hours of sleep, I wouldn't say that makes getting a lucid dream impossible, but I am quite sure it makes it harder, somewhat.

aah snap!
today i unfortunately failed to remember my dreams
i was so excited i hardly fell asleep at first. haha
and i suddenly woke up really fast because something shocked me!
at that point i knew i dreamed something but i totally forgot it.

after that i couldn't sleep
so i checked out the forum and read some lucid dreams other members had.
after that i got back to bed in like 20 minutes and i fell asleep again.
i than again dreamed (i had 3 dreams this night! amazing!)
but when i woke up moved to much(thats a habit of me =( ) and i lost half of the dream.
after that i lay down and stay still and think of what i dreamed. and it got back a bit!
but to stubborn of me i though it would stay right in my head so i headed to the toilet and downstairs. and you guessed it.. when i wanted to write down what dreamed i already forgot it..

recalling seems to be really hard at first!

:welcome: Don't worry you will get the hang of it. I also have the same habit has you. When I wake up I just naturally move. I'm currently working on that so I can have more lucid dreams.

haha yeh i understand! but i finally start to get aware of that im moving so im making progress with that.

but i think the first thing to overcome is the overexcitement when going to bed haha. its just overwelming finally be able to go on adventures you always wanted to experience

Yeah it is amazing the first time you experience it. You just want more and more after your first LD. Just one thing don't give up. People usually get excited when they start and about a month later they might give up because "It took to long". Just hang in there for your first LD and it just gets easier from there. :)

allright its pretty late and im going to bed in a couple of minutes

what i did the past 50 minutes is listing to some audio meditation with all kind of weirds but somewhat plesant sounds.
i also listend to a couple of 'i will be dreaming' audio files.(i hope it doesnt matter that much that english isn't my primairy language

i still managed to get really excited before getting to bed lol..
this is accually pretty bad! precious sleep is getting lost like this!

but i managed to remember a really small snippet of a dream wich was something with a medieval ship.
so i just wrote down: something with a medieval ship.. it may be nothing but atleast its progress! :)

btw is 't allright if i use this thread as my base of operations? hehe :P

unfortunately no recall today.
but i think because i had a party today and i was home at dawn..
and im pretty much depleted from it but i can't sleep either..

Yeah sometimes if you go to bed early in the morning your body and brain are to tired to remember anything. Last night I tried WBTB with no avail so im going to try again tonight but combine it with a WILD.

I am guilty of giving up, but I always get interested in LDing again and end up right back here.

I have to admit I gave up for a few months and I'm working on having my first lucid after giving up. :)

I think this time I'm hooked on it for good. Tonight I'm going to try WBTB/WILD for my first time. :)

well i never could experience LDing in a great way
nor i had the patience to write down my dream journals
but thanks to this online version here on dreamviews this finally changes as it now stays online. so i won't lose my journals anymore.

anyways i just checked inception
what a great movie it was!
i now gonna listen to some brain entertainment and hit the bed!
hopefully i will recall more tonight!

some weird allarm woke me up while in the middle of some dream that i can't remember anymore!
its like the world arround me tries anything to not let me recall any dreams haha

Its okay sometimes pros can't recall every dream or they forget some sooner or later. :)

hmm.. as far as i goes know my recall didn't get any much better
i keep remembering really small sensations and pictures and sometimes just a snippet involving a building(like if its showing the next scene)

allthough i had more dreams this night i surely knew that one of the dream involved talking to a girl about lucid dreaming.. wich means that must be really close at that point
i dont remember of anything triggering wich i think what didn't happen at all.

maybe im going to bed somewhat earlier tonight and see if that helps

I agree that a dream journal works wonders. No matter what you remember from your dream, even if it is only one work write it down, also try to remember the time you might have had the dream (I usually end up writing 6 am everytime because it is hard to remember). I usually have horrible recall and on Friday I remember a little detail in my dream and wrote it down. The next morning I woke up and was surprised at how much I remembered. I ended up writing about 2 paragraphs! So just keep on writing, also another thing that I feel requires the least effort and is easy to do is reality checks. Ever hour or two and before bed and after waking up do a reality check and ask yourself if you are dreaming.

amazing! my recall is getting better! first it where soundless snippets
now im starting to recall what people said and the scenes are getting longer to remember!
its heading the right direction:D!!
alltough i only slept now for 6 hour it would mean if i go back in a min or 20 i maybe able to dream again!
i got awake when my mother and my neightbours started to wake up and made use of there bathrooms so i couldn't fall asleep anymore but im pretty tired at the moment.

I'm having similar problems with recalling dreams, usually I only get a few fragments a night, but writing them down in my dream journal has worked wonders recently. Just keep it up, it seems you're on a good track at the moment. :)

Hey im here live from my new phone! Anyways for some reason my recall has gone downwards again i have some stressfull moments atm like girl problems and such but what can i do to to get it back? Appart from that i have school again whats the best way to deal with dreaming when you have school?
