Recognizing a DC
Last night I had several dreams. After awaking directly from one dream where I was in bed with a beautiful girl that morphed into my friend's girlfriend, I lay in bed trying to remember what she looked like. I wanted to know if this girl was someone I knew, but I just couldn't remember. I drifted off to sleep with a strong desire to have a lucid dream.
In my next dream I am in bed with the same girl, even in a similar room. I immediately recognize the girl's face from the previous dream, and instantly become lucid. She is not someone I know, so she must be a creation of my mind, correct? The rest of the dream involves us walking through my old church, interacting with old friends, and during this part of the dream I think I lost some lucidity. At one point, I listen to this beautiful girl converse with some old friends of mine, and I discover that she is an exchange student who wants to study Economics. I never caught her name.
Since this particular DC cropped up in two consecutive dreams, could she be a dream sign? My only reservation about this beautiful DC is that after waking from the dream, I still could not recall her face. I remember the dream well, but even though I recognized her immediately in the dream, I can't for the life of me remember any of her features. Is there any explanation for this?

I'm not experiences enough to answer most of your questions, sorry. But I can never remember any faces from my dreams. The only way I remember if someone was in the dream is if in the dream I actually interact with them and kind of make a note of it. Most of the time I just kind of assume who is in my dreams by what happens in the dreams.

Interesting thing I read once, in dreams, the human mind is unable to create new faces, so instead it uses faces from memory to construct the projections in dream space. So, everyone you see in a dream is someone you have seen in real life before, but you might not remember. Maybe it was a random person on the street.
I always though that theory was interesting and rather eerie.
