Short lucid dream.
Last night I had another lucid dream but woke up after about 5 minutes or so it seemed.. I was in a bathroom stall with someone and I stepped back and said close the wall, like I was trying to control my dream before I actually realized I was dreaming. And then I said out loud that I was dreaming in my dream and woke up.. But was stuck in a sleep paralysis for like a minute and then woke up and fell back into sleep paralysis but then officially woke up like 2 minutes after.
It was just weird I dreamed I was writing my dream journal in my dream and trying to practice lucid dreaming while I was dreaming... Confusing but it was pretty cool. thought I'd share :)
and if anyone had any tips on staying lucid that would be appreciated!

Hi! I often get false awakenings where I write down my dreams, they almost always happen if I don't get up within a minute and write them down for real. Then I induce a dream of me doing it instead.
To stay lucid, you will have to practice. Focus on the things around you, use all your senses to "root" yourself in the dream. Touch things, rub your hands together and focus your vision. You will have longer and longer lucids as you get more. Don't worry :)
Welcome to DV, if you have any questions feel free to ask them here, or send me or any of the other Dream Guides a PM.

False awakenings are very cool. It's a "free" lucid dream. You just need to learn to do a reality check every time you wake up.
Your case with trying to control the dream intuitively is pretty interesting, I've never experienced anything like that.

Once you get the power to remain lucid, you're going to have so much fun! :D
