As you become more experienced with dreaming lucid dreaming will become easier, only through dedication and practice can this be achieved. Unless you are a natural there is no "easy" way.
Well then how do I become a "natural"?
Do you know what 'natural' means?
Your either one or your not, you cant become one. Natural meaning you were born to be good at it, so to speak. It comes naturally and easy to you.
If your not one, then only the hard yards are head. Put in the effort to become adept at lucid dreaming, you wont be disappointed.
Try hard for a few weeks, if you're lucky you might get lucid quite often. If you don't have dedication and discipline, this isn't a hobby for you.
I've fallen into the 'natural' category for as long as I can recall, and over the past five or six years gotten to the point where lucid dreams are more common than "normal" dreams. Now, that's not to say my control or clarity of thought are always on the ball.
As to the 'how' of it, it's hard to say but maybe some themes can give you an idea or two: I'm a pretty strong slow-sleep insomniac, and my circadian rhythms are jacked beyond any semblance of normal. Also, I work nights and have family to get turned around to a normal schedule for on days off so I have little-to-no consistent sleep pattern. Aside from sleep, I'm notoriously analytical and pretty alert/perceptive. I don't know which of the above predisposes me to lucidity... or maybe it's a combination of nature and circumstance.
Wow that's really nice. I wish I was natural. Dedication has never been my thing. But I'll keep on keeping on.
