Introduction
Hello!
My name is Kellie and I just recently decided to try to increase my dream recall and lucidity. For the longest time I thought I wasn't dreaming but now I am thinking that I just forgot my dreams because I have been having pretty vivid dreams since I started my dream journal. I haven't had any controlled lucid dreams but when I have wanted or felt the need to wake up my subconscious self would say, "I am dreaming, but I need to wake up" and then I would.
My main reason for wanting to increase my lucidity is that I have empathic abilities that I would like to increase my control of and I seem to have an increased awareness when I am half-asleep (almost to the point of clairvoyance or telepathy). I hope as I further my practice I will have more to write.
If anyone has similar experiences and would like to share with me I would love to hear them.

Would you care to define that "increased awareness" you spoke of? It got me interested. However, I do not have much to add and help you right now, sorry for that.

well I am very empathic in my waking hours. I actually feel what others are feeling when their emotions are really strong (anger, frustration, sadness, were the first emotions I noticed, but now I can feel when people like/ love someone, or are very happy). I have had a couple of moments when I was just starting to wake up or fall back to sleep and I could hear someone thoughts. The most recent experience was a couple of months ago. I was half awake/asleep and my boy friend was trying to wake me up and I distinctly heard him say, "hey, I need to talk to you about something." and I mumbled, "uh-huh?" then I woke up and realized he hadn't said anything. Later that night we talked about making our relationship official.
That is what I meant by increased awareness. ^_^
