Hello
Hi
I'm Steven.
And im totally new to this and it looks like a worth while thing to learn, thats why im here.
But i don't know where to start because i never remember my dreams. It feels as if i havent dreamed in months. If anyone could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.
Cheers, Steven.

Hi and welcome! The first and most important thing you need to do, is to improve your recall. Start writing down your dreams in your DJ. Everytime you wake up you lie completely still and just try to remember. Let the images come to you while you got your eyes closed. Check out the Wiki Wiki - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource if you haven't already.
When you start having dreams, you should try the different techniques listed. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or send me or any of the other Dream Guides a PM.
Keep on dreaming!

Thanks, I'll give it a bash.

Hi Steve,
I'm new here too. Today I was telling my friend that I had started trying lucid dreaming and he was very interested, but said he could never recall his dreams so it would be pointless for him. I told him to keep a dream journal but he said he had tried that already but he just couldn't remember a thing. So I did some research here for him. The result may be interesting for you. Somewhere on this forum someone called Mastermind posted that keeping a journal of his walking life before he went to sleep helped him to remember his dreams. There were lots of positive reply's. So I think that's a good first step.
Hope you'll soon be able to remember your dreams and go lucid.

When i woke up this morning i just lay there and i was asking my self if i had any dreams are not, at that point i couldnt remember any and i was getting a little annoyed so i just rolled over and tried to get back to sleep and then, all of a sudden i could remember 2 dreams. I could'nt remember much of them but i could remember little bits.
It feels like its the first time i've had a dream in years. :D
Thanks :D

Good job! I also get that sometimes. When you decide to just lie completely still and almost fall asleep, the brain thinks you are about to fall asleep, which then "turns on" your dream memory.
Keep it up!

What should i do next?
Should i continue to try and get better at remembering my dreams? or work on something else?

Yes, keep on writing in your DJ. Improving dream recall takes a while and won't happen over night. I suggest you start reading a few tutorials and set up a few goals. Why do you want to lucid dream? Look forward to completing those goals and imagine the feelings you would have if you did.
Start realitychecking during the day, really ask yourself if you're awake or dreaming. Once an hour atleast.

Okay, thanks alot, you have all been a big help.
