Ok, I'm still a beginner and reading up whenever I can, but once "lucid" in ones dream does it suddenly become Hyper-real but with the same characters.

Sometimes....it depends on what landscape you deside to be in! ;)Quote:

Not always, it depends. Sometimes when you realise your dreaming it becomes super real-like and stuff rocks. However there are other times when you realise it, but stuff is foggy and you have little or no control.Quote:

There are things you can do, once lucid to improve the quality of the realness of your dream. :)
Ok, Thanks. Also can the environment suddenly change as in a "regular" dream. I mention this because I would love to be able to control this random switching. What do you do as a lucid dreamer do to control this.
A lot of people use spinning. What they do is they think of the place they want to be and spin around. Apparently when they stop spinning, they are where they wanted to be. I've never tried it, but I hear it works. :)Quote:

Thanks. There is tons of info to digest here. May take me quite a while yet.
As Aphius said, spinning is a great way to make scenery change. With a little more concentration, I've gotten pretty good and simply closing my eyes really tight, and willing another place into focus when I reopen them. But, I think this holds a little more chance of waking up, as its done it to me many times. But to me, its conceivable to me to think that, with the right amount of training, you can simply glance at the scenery around you, and watch it fade away gracefully into the atmosphere of your choice.
I find that spinning can work, but it might not be the best method. I like to open a portal and jump through it, to step through a door and use that as a portal, or to fly and expect my setting to be where I'm flying to. I believe I've done the method where you make the dreamscape turn into what you want it to be, before your eyes, several times. But, you have to admit, jumping through a portal is just so much cooler.
