I'm falling in love with all of you LDers already.

Hi there. So this is my formal introduction post.

Maybe it's just the nice beers in my tummy talking, but I've been lurking the forums for a few days and may I just say, all of you guys are absolutely fantastic.

My name is Kaylynn, I'm 25. I live in NC US, I'm married, I'm new to all this. Other obsessions: the enneagram (I'm a 4w3 sx/so if you are wondering), movies, the Beatles, cats, psychology in general, writing, fanfic (don't write much any more but interested in getting back to it), Radiohead, did I mention cats?, Sufjan Stevens (a new one for me), oh other things but there's time for all that later.

You know, in all honesty, I've never really used forums before. As mentioned, I'm 25 (nearly 26) and I sort of missed out on the whole forum thing. Plenty of social networking, journaling, all that - but I missed a few things. Blogger will never be Livejournal. Facebook will never be MySpace. Google chat will never be AIM. I guess I need to catch up and get with the times, but I'm nostalgic.

Anyway, you guys are great, and smart, and sort of nerdy (like me), and obsessive, and imaginative, and you refuse to let life live you. You have dreams - literally and figuratively. I love that. I feel like maybe I'll eventually have a nice place here. It's always hard being the new kid, but hey, everyone's the new kid sometimes.

Both. I have had lucid dreams naturally - the most notable was when I met John Lennon in a grocery store (I think he was bagging my groceries). He told me that I could only see him in dreams. I became lucid. I had him listen to a demo tape of my songs. He liked them. It was one of the best experiences I have had.

I had my first purposeful LD this morning and posted about it. I may start a DJ here - I like the idea. :) I want to master WILDs but I think it may take lots of time and practice. Honestly... I've completely lost it over this. It's probably the best thing I've ever found. Ever.

I created a DJ here and it has helped. It tells your brain to do something in your dreams because you have a post to do every day on DV. Actually I started posting just the memorable ones to force my mind to come up with better dreams and it has! Just remember to make it fun.

Best introduction I've read in a long time ; D and not just because it compliments me and the community which has sat amongst my most favorite since I've joined what seems like ages ago. You may not know me, but I love you all too!

That being said; welcome to Dream Views. By all means, make yourself comfortable, enjoy your stay, and if you have any specific questions during your journey, ask away!

I think you'll find Dreamviews to be one of the more united and complete internet communities out there because we're all approaching the same goal (lucidity). Aside from the occasional shared dreaming philosophical and scientific debates (which I take partial blame for), most of the people here get along wonderfully. I hope you find the info here to be helpful as I have.

Yes please do! I love all things Beatles. I've been a fanatic since I was about 11 or 12. Never will get tired of them. :)

I think I'll start one up today. I have been keeping one of my own on my computer; but it seems like it'd be fun to post them here. I'm doing pretty good with dream recall, but the DJ definitely has been improving it.

No way! Awesome. Yeah I've only lived in Asheville for about a year, I lived in Hendersonville for about 2 years before that. I like it here. Originally a Floridian though. Nice to meet you! Great to see someone local on here.

Yeah I was born in Daytona and lived in that area most of my life... FL seems to breed quirky types. :) I miss the beach, I might move back in the next few years.

My entire family is from/in Daytona (both sides). Right now, I'm about 20 minutes away, in Deltona. Florida definitely does seem to breed quirky types, but I can't say that it's always in a good way. LOL. I couldn't imagine living somewhere without a beach, for very long, though. I'm big on the amusement parks, too. :>

Hey! I just moved away from Asheville North Carolina! Those mountains are so beautiful! I wish that I met you while I was there, I don't know any dreamers really in person. How funny. I love cats also and the Beatles. My cat ran away when I moved in Asheville to Candler. I went to Oregon and now I am living in Colorado. I really love John Lennon.

Nice! Yeah my family all just sort of relocated recently. My brother still lives in Palm Coast. And you're right. Def not always quirky good... my ex-husband was a Floridian too, after all. Haha. Yeah the mountains are killing me, I need the beach. I'm fed up with all these curvy interstates.

Awesome!! I like Asheville, it's full of crazy people and hippies. :) My cats also ran away here! Or got stolen. I think PETA has an active presence here, and if you let your cats run around, I think they get stolen by PETA because they don't believe animals should be "pets." I don't know what they do with the cats when they get them... release them into the wild where they get eaten by black bears? Probably... Actually I don't really know much of anything about it but that's what I believe, haha.

And nice to meet another Lennon fan. :)

Kaylynn...FYI...if you want to respond to and quote multiple people's comments then you can use the multi-quote function. It is the button just next to the reply with quote button, it looks like... "+ just select it for each post you want to quote, then click reply with quote. ...makes things easier. ;)
