Tips on overcoming SP fear :/
I'm really new , I've been reading plenty of tutorials and threads and everyone seems to have different techniques, views and experiences on how to attain LD. I am really blown away by the seemingly infinite possibilities of LDing. But being a high school student who wakes up at 5:30 am I don't have much time to wake up 5-7 hours in my sleep to try to WILD. But my friend told me about tricking my body into sleep while keeping my mind awake. Thus putting myself into sleep paralysis. I have had one very short and unwanted SP episode which lasted a minute I'd say. (At least that's how it felt like) I had no visions , sounds , etc... It's actually what initiated me to the world of sleep. The technique my friend told me is to lay still and not move for 15-20 mins, no matter how much my body desires to shift position. I tried it but i was knocked out by my excitment as i felt the initial effects. But now I'm scared that if I try this technique and actually put my body to sleep that I will be greeted with terrifying visions, sounds of pure evil and impending doom as i am in SP. I desire to LD and live some positive OBE's , soothing, exciting and marvelous experiences not terrifying , nightmare-ish and traumatizing ones. Has anyone tried this technique I speak of? If so , will i live such horrors? Will I be able to LD? I know I may sound noobish but I really am new and the only things that are limiting me is time and mostly fear of being trapped in a hellish experience. I just need tips on where to go to live an amazing sleep experience.
