Hello all fellow LDers!

This is in no way an attempt to top justkillingtime's introduction post, which was phenomenal to say the least, but after seeing that post, I felt like I had to make an introduction post as well.

I just joined DreamViews a couple of days ago and I was overwhelmed by all you guys. I was kind of intimidated at first with all this ubiquitous knowledge of dreaming but after reading through many threads a began to get more comfortable about how things ran, I guess. I started to become extremely interested in Lucid Dreaming the beginning of this month and I even have a few under my belt!

So, in summary, I wanted to give a little, "Hello! This is me!", to all you guys out there. I'm sure that you will be of great service to me in many future dreams and I'm positive I will be contacting many of you for the endless questions I have!

Hi, welcome to Dreamviews! :flyaway: Everyone is intimidated by the wealth of tutorials and information about lucid dreaming (I know I was :P), but once you learn more it's not really that bad. It's good you've already had some lucids too. If I might ask, what technique are you using?

I typically use a mix of DILD/MILD/WBTB and I think WILD? But I'm not so sure what the wake induced lucid dream is. Is that the one where you induce sleep paralysis? Anyway, I typically wake myself up about 6 hours after I have fallen asleep and try to recall the dreams I've had and write them down. I then read a little of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by LaBerge getting my mind focused on lucid dreaming and I go back to bed with the intent of lucid dreaming. I repeat words to myself until I fall asleep and wake myself up 2 hours later. I repeat the process again and so far I've been getting some pretty good results! It's hard on school days though.

What do you find works the best for you? Maybe I can try some new techniques!

Your routine sounds excellent! When you focus your intent on lucid dreaming, try to picture what it will feel like to become lucid. Imagine yourself performing a reality check or becoming spontaneously lucid. Don't just tell yourself. Picture it happening. It helps me lock the intention in my mind.

Yes, wake induced lucid dream (WILD) is when you induce sleep paralysis. From what you've posted, it seems you've got everything down just like Robot_Butler said. I'm not sure what to recommend in your case. :P

Hmm... Well, I have school as well, so I make sure I take a dream vividness supplement - usually it's a glass of apple juice but vitamin B6 works too, just so I can remember my dreams well even if I don't become lucid. Unfortunately school is known to bring down lucid occurrences, but if this happens to you (it probably will at one point), keep trying!

Haha right on! Sometimes I drink a glass of orange juice. Will that produce the same effect? Or is apple juice different?

I'm actually unsure about that... Sorry. :bang:
