Well hello there.
So,
I have been looking around this site for quite some time, looking over the basics, techniques, other people's experiences, but never actually joined the forums. The reason I actually joined now, is that I decided to take my dreaming seriously from now on. Life itself as a matter of fact.
So a while a go I started taking some notes of the dreams I remembered in the morning and, surprisingly to me, some time after that I started having more and more remembering dreams, that I took unorganized notes of. After some time I even had a lucid dream, but as stupid as I am/was, didn't take notes of it, though it still sticks in my mind. But, after a few (2-3) short lucid experiences I became quite sloppy and didn't bother taking notes anymore. So yeah, here I am now, trying to put things back to order. As far as I remember this site has some system, that helps with dream register, right? (didn't bother looking before posting, sorry, but it's more of a retorical question as I will look into it after I post this)
So it's 11:15 PM and my plan is quite simple. I will go to sleep, wake somewhere in the middle of the night, come back here for a few minutes, meditate and then try the WBTB technique (haven't decided between WILD or DILD yet though).
So, do you have any suggestions for a newbie, willing and eager to learn?

Welcome to the forums! My only advice is to stick with it and don't give up. Lucid dreaming can be very tedious and it can take weeks-years before you experience a true great lucid experience. Just keep your head up, keep recording in your journal, and have at it. If you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask! Good luck!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your first lucids! For a newbie i would suggest trying DILD/MILD first as it isn't very straining on the mind or body. It seems that WILD is a bit more advances for some people. You also want to do reality checks throughout the day and keep up that dream journal. If you have any more questions feel free to ask :)

If you are planning a WBTB, you are already one step ahead of my suggestion :P Remember, you need to fall asleep to dream. You need to fall asleep to lucid dream. Don't get overly excited, or lie in bed trying to keep yourself from falling asleep. Let yourself slip into sleep, but keep your intention firmly in mind.

Okay, so it's 5:30 and I am planning a 15-minute listening of the subtle messaging audio track and see how it goes. I'll just go for a DILD technique.

So, I had no luck with luciding this time, but at least I remembered a fragment of a dream, that I was dreaming right before I woke up (already journaled it :)). On the other hand, I had some problems falling asleep after I listened to the subliminal luciding track for 15 minutes (I was up for about 20minutes). I can remember that it actually didn't feel like sleeping all from the moment I went to bed to the moment I heard my mother get up. So that quite a while (she gets up around 9am). So does that mean I got up too early (fell asleep around 12:30, got up at 5:30) or was I up too long? Another question I have is, how do I get the time of sleeping after which I must get up for the WBTB technique (at least an estimate -> 4 hours of sleep, 5, 6, 7 ?).
