heya
im new here and i would first like to congratulate the admins or the guy that made all the tutorials, because they really worked for me last night.
i had my first LD and i have a few questions.
i first tried WILD, i was sleepy and around the 30th breath it felt like i was floating, and then i started, idk, falling down and my heartbeats went really loud so i got scared and opened my eyes, gonna try it again today.
so i went to sleep and had this dream, looked at my hands, 7 fingers fuck yeah.
so i was in this big city and i raced with some nerdy guy(and won yay).
after that there was this really tall building and it was hogwarts(from harry potter, yeah) and i did some things there.
but i forgot to say, before that i was in a nightmare, i was in a hotel an there was a storm incoming, i need to find my stuff but it was all dark, i dream spinned
it waS really strange because,i opened my eyes in the middle and felt, and i was dead, so i respawned(lolwut) and went to the city.:(
oh and i remember it being very vivid but i forgot it when i woke up so i got this impression it was all foggy and shit, feels bad:P
but i want to ask something,
is it possible that, WILD dreams are better than DILD dreams or vice-versa?:
post your opinions please:D
and what are your toughts on dream sharing?because on 4th grade i had this friend and we dreamed the same thing, it was awesome like:
-hey dude
-wassup!
-did you escape the mosquitoes?
-what?
-from your dream!
-oh no they got me
-oh i found a breach in the mountain and hid there
-how the fuck did you jump there?
-idk i just jumped
-oh but do you remember mario?
-yeah i do
-so i asked him to help me and he killed me
-lol

Congrats on the LD!
WILD has it's advantages over DILD, but the quality of the Ld's aren't that much better. With WILD it could possibly be longer, because you are lucid from the beginning of the dream. Also you can somewhat control where you start, so you have a workable context. In terms of vividness or quality, they're basically the same. They both can suck, and they both can be life-changingly beautiful and vivid. It's all about your level of focus and lucidity. Don't start off trying anything crazy. You'll have a much more moving experience if you calm down, and slowly incorporate all of your senses. It will feel like real life, or in some instances, more real than real life. Good luck!

hey thx
also, can i WILD before sleep?, because i heard you can but its real hard

I certainly would not suggest it. It's practically impossible. Here's why.
Your brain when it falls asleep slowly descends into deeper and deeper levels of unconscious sleep for the first 90 minutes, and makes it's way back up. It's not until the end of those 90 minutes that you enter your first REM phase (the stage of sleep most accessible during a WILD). Even this Rem phase is short and non-memorable. As the night goes on, your REM periods get longer, and so do dreams. Dreams also get more vivid and memorable. That's when you want to target your WILD, during the morning.

Grats on the lucid! By the way "looked at my hands, 7 fingers fuck yeah." made me laugh aloud, great line.
