Hi just woke up!
Hi! Gonna post this real quick while I remember it all! I just joined because of the fantastic experience I had previous to waking... I was in full control of my dream, I knew I was dreaming and managed to communicate with people in it as such, write things down to remember ( which I did) and turn lights on where it was dark. I have had numerous dreams like this in the past but not anywhere near thus level of control or awareness. I spoke to and saw a relative who has passed ( I know this is only my mind recreating her) the thing I wrote was a sing I had in my head I put the piece if paper in my pocket and when I woke I still had the words and melody going in my head!
Sorry it's a bit rushed but needed to get it out and share. Hope to speak to you all in more detail about me soon. I'm not bonkers I'm a level headed fairly intelligent guy, and no late night cheese eating or otherwise was involved. In fact it's the first early night in ages!
Cheers!
Chris

Sounds like you had a full blown lucid dream, congrats! If you enjoyed it a lot you should definitely look into some induction methods so that you can repeat the experience. And your certainly not crazy for having a lucid dream, that's what this site is all about!

Nice man! Congratulations! As Aether says, you should try to research the inductions, for your head sounds to be good at doing this, which in my opinion, is a gift :)

Congratulations! I just had my first LD last night since I started trying too. My habit of reality checking every time I wake up finally paid off as I started a dream with a false awakening and had a great lucid which seemed to have lasted 30 minutes!
The best part about it is it started as a possible nightmare; finding brown recluses in my bed.
