Finally.
Well, after researching dreams on Google. I stumbled upon this site. I'd say it was a month ago. I've always had an extreme ability with dream recall. I've also been plagued with countless dreams that make absolutely no sense. I always wake and relay them to family members and friends. Usually they tell me to lay off the drugs. I had experienced the phenomena before so I was initial enthralled. I however had no control. I knew it was a dream but couldn't change any aspects of it. The idea of it occurring on a more regular basis, and with a heightened control got me reading. Anyway I went fully Lucid tonight. After many realizations, then shocking myself awake later, I'm screaming FINALLY. I literally have only slept for two hours tonight. It is 5:40 a.m, but I simply cannot sleep after such and invigorating experience. I had to scour Google over and over to find this exact site. I just want to give credit to the guide. Perhaps I can get some shut eye after relaying my gratitude. It was somewhat of a spiritual experience for me. Thanks, now back to bed!

Haha, well welcome to the forums! I always love reading someone's first success with LDing. Hopefully that was just the first of many.
Well, goodnight! Looking forward to you posting in the near future.

Congratulations, Ahab! Welcome to Dream Views, and the world of lucid dreaming. :>
I would suggest starting up a dream journal. You're going to want to keep track of your experiences, in the future. (Not to mention that keeping a journal tends to help find patterns which may help induce lucidity. It also helps with recall, but it seems you might not have much of a problem, in that department. Heh.)
If you have any questions, ask around. And enjoy your stay!
