Weird conversation

I will start off by recounting events that took place before my dream. I went to a party at a friends and at the party there was this amazing cake, I really wanted one for my own birthday however I did not ask my friend were they got it. Due to circumstances I could not ask them after either.

Several weeks after the party I was still thinking about this cake an then I had the dream.

In the dream (first person) I was standing in a dark room. Pitch black. And all of a sudden my friend is there and he seems overly excited and fidgety then we have a discussion.

Me: Can you yell me where you got that cake from???
Friend: I can't its a secret
Me: I promise I won't tell any one
Friend:ok I got it from (store)

end of dream.

Immediately after this I woke up and went on the Internet and onto the stores homepage to find the cake right on the home page....

I cannot work out how this ocurred and I am alittle bit creeped out

I don't have an explination. Maybe you sleepwalked during this and went back to your bed?

I can't remember exactly who it was, but I remember reading about a scientist who was really interested in Darwin's work. He had found a plant and knew that it was not a new species but couldn't find record of it anywhere. One night he had a dream where he opened a book and found the plant inside. This correlated exactly with the book in real life and he located the species of plant.

It turned out that the book was one that he had read long ago but had largely forgotten about. It's very possible that you've seen this cake in said store before but not consciously clocked it. If thoughts about this cake have been cropping up a lot recently then it's very possible that some sort of subconscious memory has surfaced in your dream.

Just a possibility but... perhaps you Astral Travelled without realising it. You could have theoretically found your friends non physical body, spoken with it and found out the name of the store that way.

Do you remember entering this *dream* from another dream? If so how seamless did the transition seem?

The reason I ask is because I once had a similar transition from a VERY realistic non-lucid dream into an Astral Projection via a false awakening; I fell asleep on a bench in my dream (whilst talking to Germaine Greer of all people :p) and then *woke up* in my room. If you didn't have total concious control of your non physical body in AP then you could have subconciously gravitated towards information about the store. This happens to me occasionally if I lose concious control of an AP after having gone to bed with a really nagging question in my mind; who wrote that song? where did he/she used to live? what was that actors name? etc. Having said that, all of that information would have been knocking about in my subconcious somewhere; if you genuinely didn't know what store it was i.e. if it wasn't mentioned in passing, or if you didn't glimpse it on the label of the cakes box then it might have been impossible to gain the info that way.

As for finding it on your browser...that really is weird and sleepwalking is probably a better explanation...

Do you mean that it was already up on your browser? In which case I reckon you were sleepwalking, or did you type the name your friend gave you into google or something and it popped right up?

In either case, the intruiging bit here is how you managed to find the information. If it was through AP, if you genuinely discovered otherwise hidden information whilst your body was aspleep then the implications are fascinating. Although this explanation is best treated with skepticism.

just to clarify, no it wasn't already there and i don't think that i have ever sleepwalked in my life, after my friend told me the store i googled it and the cake was on the homepage for the store
