      A reintroduction

Hi! So I decided to check in on Dreamviews after getting back into lucid dreaming and managing to maintain a routine for decently long time.

I’ve seen some familiar names are still around: Sivason, Dolphin, a couple of others. If you’ve been around a few years you might recognise my name. I was really active on here 2011-13, slightly less 2014-16 and basically grew apart along with my LD practice after starting full time work.

I can’t say how active I’ll be as I’m restricted to posting via my phone, which is kind of a pain (and I’m trying to use my phone *less * currently) but I’m also craving some quality lucid dreaming discussion, so I may be back with a post on my observations from the last 10 years.

      See you around!

Hey Friend! Great to hear for you. It has been slow, so if you want to help maybe start a couple fun random threads. It can be things from the past. Anyways, Welcome Home!!!
Oh, and I started a DV family log in in the community team section. I am the only one so far. It would be neat for people to see blast from the past names.

Hey! Happy to see you back and looking forward to reading your dream observations!

You know something interesting I have noted is that even after long time off events, some potion of that dreaming experience has been retained or even grown. For example, thanks to this forum I have almost gotten rid of some nasty nightmares for good. Also, I tend to occasionally have strong dreams of clarity despite brushing lding practice to the side. Have you experienced something similar? Imagine how a potential boost in practices can bring further insights.

You probably need to resurrect your avatar though - or come up with a new one to herald the next stage .
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

      Welcome back.

I also found it very hard to maintain lucid dreaming practice when I started working full time ~3 years ago. At first I just couldn't, so I disappeared from the forums. I started back up last summer break. I've really made a great effort to practice during the work week, using a little buzzer device to remind me to RC every 20 minutes or so. I like it, it's working. Also, trying to work on my prospective memory by using desktop backgrounds on my work computer with RC goals. I've managed to get lucid during the work week pretty regularly, but it does wax and wane with stress levels at work.

Good luck with getting lucid, and I hope to see you on here again soon.

This may be one of the most valuable results that comes from all this training and mindset. I basically no longer have nightmares of any form. Even though I do not always get lucid there is some small background knowledge that my dreams are not real and do not need to be taken very seriously. I sometimes have emotional dreams where I fight with a family member over how they treated me years ago, but the days of fear and running/ hiding due to nightmares are almost 100% behind me.
